The Shark Tank 🦈

Got rocked against a great team last night.
Nice bounceback win
Wilson's been snooping around FLA lately. Maybe he's trying to get Luongo.

They should let EK65 rest. Maybe work on that contract too. If he's not extending, then get him healthy to win it all.

I was reading some Red Wings' fan responses to the trade and they are devastated. Great for us!
Nyquist should help a lot with his shooting and transition game. The Sharks are weak in those areas. Sorensen probably gives the 4th line more depth.

Hope Wilson has a plan for G.

We are top 10 in all of our lines.

Our 3rd line is ranked #2 now in the NHL with the addition of Nyquist.

Healthy? I think the Sharks are the favorite. A lot of people will still pick WPG or NSH though.

As far as best regular season Sharks teams, I'd rank them:

2008-09: Thornton playing his best, Marleau in his prime, Pavelski emerges, Setoguchi/Clowe/Michalek scoring 20+, Boyle/Blake/Vlasic/Ehrhoff on D. Nabby in net. Roenick on the roster. This team set franchise records for wins, and had the best record in the NHL. First year under McLellan. And then Nabby choked to the Ducks in first round.

2009-10: Same team as above pretty much but added Dany Heatley. Team looked legit, winning first 2 rounds of playoffs. Then got curb stomped by the Blackhawks as they were en route to their first cup. Honestly I think the Sharks were the 2nd best team that year and would have beaten Philly.

This year's team.

2013-14: This team had staples Thonrton, Pavelski, Marleau, Boyle, and Vlasic but new faces with Burns (playing forward), Couture, Hertl and Niemi. I thought this team had the "it" factor and starting out in playoffs were completely demolishing the Kings. And then the reverse sweep.

2003-04: Ron Wilson's first year and the first true contender the Sharks ever had. Marleua was 24 and leading the team in scoring. Cheechoo was new. Veterans in Damphouse, Sturm, Stuart, Rathje, Hannan, McLaren, and ofcourse, the great Ricci. Probably Nabby's best year. Best GA in franchise history. Cruised in Playoffs until Conference Finals with the Flames, and lost to your former backup goalie Kiprusoff

Gonna see them on 9 Mar against the Blues

Last time i see them before they win the Stanley, go on a dynastic run and tix becomes ridiculously expensive
Pretty rough road trip.
Today was probably the best team goon job ever by a Sharks team.
DeBoer seemed to treat the road trip like a gut check. When it's 0-0, we'll play possession hockey. When it's 0-1, we'll play possession hockey. When it's 0-4, we'll play possession hockey. IMO he should rotate Radil, Heed, and Ryan in more. At worst, it gives Melker, Goodrow, Braun some rest. At best, the competition helps those guys sharpen up.
