Not that I agree with Garce, but the statistic you just posted is absurdly misleading. Posey has 171 more plate appearances than Vogt does. Of course his offensive WAR is going to be higher than Vogts.

Right, but the point is that they have contributed about the same amount of offensive production to the 2019 team in total. Vogt has been a bit better offensively, but it's really not by much, compared to Posey being an elite defensive player, and Vogt being slightly below average behind the plate.

The idea that Vogt should start over Posey for a slight offends edge is ridiculous.
