Man this team's offseason is going to be crazy.

Sign Anthony Rendon, should be the #1 Priority. Move Longo to 1B or dump him.

Zero chance we drop mega bucks on a 3B. The rotation is priority one, and after that were not going to be big spenders. An expensive 30 year old IF doesn't seem like the building block of a Farhan type plan.

Agreed.

He'd rather argue for a 31 year old trash player.

Looking forward to seeing what they do with the bullpens and the offseason moves of course.

See, thats your problem. You think anyone defending Belt is calling him a great player. All ive ever argued is that he ISNT trash. Hes been our best overall offensive player over the last 7 years. Your hatred for Belt is irrational. Whether its his body language, or the fact that maybe you thought he was going to be Joey Votto. Whatever it is, you are incapable of an objective opinion on this topic.

I just found this video on YouTube also. Since stupid ass mlb.tv doesn't show anything, which pisses me off. I'm paying $$ for Giants coverage, they should show the damn post game ceremony when a manager of Bochy's stature retires. Oh well I guess I just have to rely on YouTube and FB videos

One critique I have with the video is that it doesn't really pickup how loud the reaction was for Timmy. But that's about it.

Ugh.

There's a reason you say last 7.

How about last 2?

Last 3?

He's a mediocre player. I've obviously never been a fan. And as you realize, I hype up that fact. He should've never been paid. He's not the main problem, but his contract f**ks us. He can barely be moved, can barely hit for average. He's seriously no better than Travis Ishakawa.

Can you admit he isn't good, had one good year, that was basically a great first half?

17 HRs in a year of a juiced ball
I remember when you guys used to compare Belt to Freeman, lol

f**k it go all out for Gerritt Cole
Get ready for a whole off season of arguing and such. But for what it's worth, Belt shouldn't be in Z's long term plans.
Love Belt but he's washed up. He needs to be cut.
We don't need a guy who plays very good defense and lead the majors in RBI or can hit 20-30 HRs with a high average. Don't need him.

Longo is just fine.

Rendon is the final piece for a title contender pushing themselves over the top. He will get paid big from a team who needs one more bat, not a rebuilding team.

And like always, Rendon coming to a big pitchers park is going to take extra cash, especially considering we'll already have to outbid the rest of baseball to combat the income taxes. Plus nobody is going to trade for Longoria.

We go over this same thing every offseason...

Name a better offensive Giant over the last 3 years then.

He only got 73 mil, which is not that much. You don't seem to understand the market. Eric Hosmer got 144 mil. His career OPS+ is 108. Belt's career OPS+ is 120.

You single out Belt for not doing things that no other Giant even does. You have to grade on an Oracle Park curve. Overall Belt isnt a great player, but why you pick on him over the rest of the roster doing worse is beyond me. The only explanation is irrational bias.

And LOL @ Belt being Travis Ishikawa, the borderline AAAA journeyman utility IF with 23 career HR. You've lost all baseball opinion credibility.
I think bochys farewell was perfect. I was just thinking of how usually those kind of speeches are given after someone passes away and it's awesome that he was able to hear all of that and experience that. I've watched the clip of Dave Roberts running out there to bonds and them at least 20 times. Just magic
