I've watched the clip of Dave Roberts running out there to bonds and them at least 20 times. Just magic

I love that Bonds still embodies the Dodger hate, throwing Dave Roberts' hat away. The anti-Dodger mentality just isn't as strong as it used to be with the players.

Lmao forgot about that show.
Just like with Pence this year, Belt gonna move on next season and go kill it somewhere in a ballpark that fits him. He probably will be rejuvenated by a change of scenery.
Belt earned the roster spot in Spring that year. I remember watching him in AZ and being sooooo excited. Thought he was going to be a monster.

Little did we know, he was just a perennial Cactus League MVP candidate.

Hunter Pence hit 11 of is 18 homeruns on the road. His batting average was the exact same at home as it was on the road. His slugging percentage was substantially better on the road.

Would love to get to the point where we stop blaming our ballpark for the lack of hitting.

It mentally wears on a team. There is no doubt about it.

That will happen when they fix the dimensions. It's a necessity at this point with the in-field-of-play bullpens.

Belt aside, the ballpark does take away from stats. And you aren't being honest if you don't think so

they arent making sweeping changes and they are leaving triples alley. So you can give up on your dream of bringing the fences in.

Where are you putting the pens then, if not in triples alley?

And just how cool Roberts was about it. With "The boys are back in town" playing. Ahhhh

But I know I guess we have to start competing with the dodgers to amp it up. Puig made it fun

Kershaw vs bum throwing 7 straight fastballs and tipping his hat is a whole differnt level of respect. Was awesome

I am of the belief that the talent level of our players take away stats more than the ballpark does. Yes, there are a handful of homeruns we lose every year because of triples alley.

Roberts was with his old teammates. He seemed to have loved it. It was such a cool moment. I hate that Roberts is the Dodgers manager because I love him. Hes great!

And you are right about the Giants/Dodgers rivalry IMO. The reason it doesnt seem as hate filled in recent years is because we have been trash. If we are both good at the same time, you will see the rivalry fire up again.

And the tipping of his cap was to Bochy. When watching the game live, I thought Kershaw was tipping his hat to Bum. But seeing replays it was to Boch, as Boch returned the tip.
I wonder why Matt Cain wasn't able to make it yesterday?

He only got 73 mil, which is not that much. You don't seem to understand the market. Eric Hosmer got 144 mil. His career OPS+ is 108. Belt's career OPS+ is 120.

This is totally not apples to apples here, 99. When Hosmer got his big contract, he was substantially more accomplished than Belt was when he was extended. While I will be the first to admit, Hosmer's contract is a joke, I dont think that he should be the measuring stick for Belt.
