Longo is just fine.

Rendon is the final piece for a title contender pushing themselves over the top. He will get paid big from a team who needs one more bat, not a rebuilding team.

And like always, Rendon coming to a big pitchers park is going to take extra cash, especially considering we'll already have to outbid the rest of baseball to combat the income taxes. Plus nobody is going to trade for Longoria.

I'd like to see them go get a pitcher. Some studs and the quality ones out there will be pricey.
The direction will be interesting to see. Who knows if we will be players? They did go all in on Harper so ..... there's a chance at something fun happening

I'd sure love me some Mookie Betts though

And thank God that Harper went to Philly. Rendon is very good but would he instantly make the Giants better than the Dodgers to win the NL West? I dont see that. He will go to a team that can win now while over paying him.

I know that there was somebody rooting for Maddon to replace Bochy, but it looks like he's going to the Angels.

I think Houston will spend the money and keep Cole. I dont think it makes any sense for them to go after Rendon given what they already have in the infield. Yes, Correa has had some injuries but he is an elite talent when on the field

I thought that when Vogey mentioned that Bruce had the 2nd best speech after being down 0-2 to the Reds, that they were going to cut to the board to show a Pence message. Didnt expect him to be there while his team was still playing their last game of the year, hurt or not.

He was on KNBR recently, and kind of hinted at Lincecum showing up. When they asked him if he would be there, he said "Who knows, I cant confirm or deny". I totally thought he was hinting at being there, considering hes not on the Rangers active roster right now. Guess it didn't work out.

Yeah, I was one of those pulling for Maddon - guess it's pretty much a sure thing he's LA bound.

Hunter Pence hit 11 of is 18 homeruns on the road. His batting average was the exact same at home as it was on the road. His slugging percentage was substantially better on the road.

Would love to get to the point where we stop blaming our ballpark for the lack of hitting.

Belt aside, the ballpark does take away from stats. And you aren't being honest if you don't think so

I am of the belief that the talent level of our players take away stats more than the ballpark does. Yes, there are a handful of homeruns we lose every year because of triples alley.

You cant downplay the park's affect on performance to just "losing a handful of HR's to triples alley". Thats not recognizing all the factors. Baseballs don't travel well in cold, damp air. There is also a wind pattern that blows in from RF. Hitting a ball out at Oracle is significantly more difficult than in places with warmer, dry air. Oracle has
always been bottom of the barrel in offensive production for both the Giants and road teams.

If a lack of talent was the big issue, we wouldn't perform so much better on the road.
