San Francisco Giants 2019 Off-season Thread

^For the record, I am not of the belief that the park isnt an issue. I am of the belief that it isnt THE issue. There are multiple issues. One of which (and IMO the biggest), is the lack of offensive talent we have had on this team. The park will suppress power. There is no question.
Lets for a minute assume that power hitters will continue to refuse to play in SF because of our park. There is history of big hitters passing on our attempts to sign them, and a reasonable assumption (or at least what a lot of fans/reporters/analysts believe) is that the park has a lot to do with it.

So my question is, if what I just said is true, wouldnt the opposite also be true? That pitchers would be dying to come play here? We have also been spurned by every big ticket free agent pitcher we have tried to sign.

I dont understand why pitchers arent lining up to sign with the Giants because of the park if hitters refuse to come here because of the park.
Cueto? Samardzija?

people are actually arguing that the park isn't the issue when this link is right there with 100% grade A organic facts listed in it.

READ THE ARTICLE AND SHUT UP. lmao.

It talks about other teams and f**king road games so any stupid ass point you want to make is addressed.

lol I swear, its becoming a flat earth debate. The stadium has always been a well known dead yard. This weird stance of people saying "its not the park, its our crappy players" is almost totally dismissing the facts and reality of the ballpark.

You can hit the ball on the screws with the same launch angle and exit velocity, and the ball will leave most other parks, but not here. Its the multiple factors within the park, not the Giants being unable to find a single 30 HR talent in nearly two decades.

Pitchers do come here. Zito, Samardzija, and Cueto all were big ticket guys. Greinke and Lester spurned us because of CA taxes. AZ's offer to Greinke was so much bigger because of income taxes, he couldn't turn it down, even though he really wanted to be in SF.
I'm aware that it's harder in our park to hit homeruns, but I also see the dodgers come in and hit home runs while we don't lol. I'd like to see how many at bats it takes an opposing team to homer there compared to us

that is addressed in the f**kin article as well. Our lineup obviously has less power hitters than others but the park is a big factor.

The Dodgers are arguably the best team in baseball.

Rockies seem okay hitting homers in our park too. I just said dodgers because they just hit homeruns in every game in the last series

The article wouldn't let me scroll without ads so I didn't read the entire thing. Calm your t*ts

With a good bit of them going to triples alley and either getting caught by an outfielder playing near the gap, or landing somewhere near the warning track
