I had a feeling Kapler was going to get it. Not my choice, but what ever. Time to move on and get this team competitive again.

Maybe what the team's front office is really doing over there near triple's alley is creating a tanning salon for Kapler.

At least the chicks are going to dig him.

Time to see who trusts Z. At least we can call him Kap

Longo had good things to say about him. Called him a great leader. They played together in Tampa. (So did Pat Burrell)

He got in trouble for ignoring sexual assault claims as the Dodgers farm director, was given a talented young Philly team and did nothing with it, and really loves tanning. So probably not.

LOL

lol I read that he has a "passion" for tanning and working out, and that he pretty much loves himself some Gabe Kapler. Lets just say professionally and personally he isn't coming across well with the public. Hopefully he proves people wrong, but I really cant see him hoisting a WS trophy as Giants manager.

Ignoring sexual assault claims doesn't have anything to do with his baseball knowledge/understanding the game. It does mean you are probably a s**tty human being. s**tty human beings can be great individual performers...see a long list of s**tty humans that were amazing athletes. But most s**tty humans aren't great leaders of people. He can understand baseball and be totally bought into the sabermetrics of baseball, but if he can't find a way to bond that clubhouse and make them want to be a family, they wont be successful. That is why I wasn't a fan of him being considered.

What I think they missed in passing on Joe Espada was a talented baseball guy who is new age in thinking, but really connects with the Lain players. Big missed opportunity in my opinion.
So... is Kapler the Dirk Koetter of baseball?

Nice . I agree too that I think they missed an opportunity in Espada. Maybe the whole stealing signs thing spooked them away?
Stop spreading the rumor that they ignored sexual assault claims. They didn't do that.

Kapler reported it up the chain in the dodgers organization. They got legal advice.

The legal team told them to ask the victims if they wanted to them to go the police or help them go to the police, the victims said no.

In hindsight, Farhan said they should have just gone to the police in the first place.

There was no cover up or intention of ignoring sexual assault claims.

Was he banging that bat!?
"Kapler was so into health," former Drive catcher Jon Still said to the Inquirer. "He's addicted to ice cream. So he would sit there and lick ice cream but have a cup and spit it into it. He would lick it just for the taste but didn't want to eat it. I told him, 'Dude, that's like Unabomber type stuff.'

he replaced all the food with healthy organic stuff as well when he was manager. So Pablo and him wont get along. lol. Sounds like a guy who strips the fun out of a clubhouse.

He's totally into himself - workouts, health, pics of him shirtless, etc. Again, he's a me dude IMO. Not an us dude.
