Puig is nothing compared to the PR Farhan is already dealing with after hiring Kapler.

At this point the Kapler thing has become ridiculous. MLB did a full investigation of the issue, and cleared Kapler of any wrongdoing. Not sure why Ann Killion couldn't have found that out before starting her witch hunt, which has stirred up a ton of unnecessary drama.

The only issue with Kapler is whether he can win.

Yes, I am more worried about how he sucked in Philly and losing MadBum because of him.

Interpreting 3B coach signals, or a runner at 2B relaying signs to the batter is gamesmanship. But its an entirely different situation to be using technology and spy equipment.

First off, that was a mistake Kapler made 2 years ago in his first game as a manager. Second, Bum would definitely get treated differently than other pitchers on staff.

Its all about money regardless. If we offer him the best deal, he'll come back.

Bum isnt employed by the Giants any longer. Do you think the 32 managers around the league are reaching out to him? That is the job of Zaidi and Harris to reach out and Bum and his agent. However, I am sure that Kapler would do so if asked by his boss to reach out.

I dont. But Bum has played for one manager and team his whole career. I dont think Kapler reaching out to him should be compared to other managers reaching out to him. Who a player wants to play for is definitely a factor in said player choosing where to play. I would think that Kapler should be doing his best to establish a relationship with Bum, if our organization plan is truly to try to re-sign him. Maybe it isnt.

We dont know what the Giants want to do with Bum. Obviously, if they really dont plan on spending big money on him then Kapler wouldnt reach out. Regardless, it isnt his position to do so unless asked by Zaidi or Harris.
