Was that the elimination game where pudge held onto the ball? Was so pissed

Didn't JT Snow get thrown out at home by like 15 feet to end the series? I remember Pudge destroyed us in that entire series

I was like 10-11 at that time and remember jumping on my couch as it was unfolding and then fell to the ground and cried lol

I remember the exact restaurant lounge I was at watching. Still have the Sam Adams pint glasses the bartender gave me because they were shutting down. I too fell on the ground and cried

I was in High school at the time but you look back at that Marlins squad we weren't winning and it wasn't shocking they beat the Yankees. Whole bunch of young guys who got paid on other teams and contributed well for those other teams

That's ok. We got our revenge on Miguel Cabrera eventually.

Nah, it was bang bang. Conine's throw was offline, and Pudge dove back in to block the plate and Snow couldn't jar the ball out.

It was offline but he was going to be out by a mile, regardless. His only shot was trying to knock it loose . Not bang bang

I haven't gone back and watched it again, but I remember the throw beating him by at least 10 to 15 feet, if not more. I remember being pissed that he even tried to score on the play knowing how slow he was, then seeing how much the throw beat him made it worse.

In 97 with Renteria? I was in 5th grade lol. I think I was a junior in high school when Jt got thrown out at the plate in 2003

You f**kers keep aging me. Yeah that was the team. They were like an all star team and their pitching staff was lights out. Nen was their closer. I was a freshman at Loyola Marymount university during that 97' series. Go lions

Nen was on the Marlins in 97? If so, for some reason I don't recall ever hearing or knowing that. Sorry for making you feel old I feel old enough myself

I remember being no-hit by Kevin Brown that year. He hit Benard in the foot in the 8th to ruin the perfect game.

You talking 97? I wasn't much of a fan yet at that time. I mean I wore Giants shirts and stuff, and I played Little League, but watching on tv was too boring for me at that age. My parents were always watching, and I do remember watching with them during the Brian Johnson walkoff game. My parents were jumping up and down and screaming in the living room lol

Yeah, 97 was the first year I really paid close attention to baseball. I didn't live in CA, so following it was pretty difficult, but I remember the Brown no hitter, Andres Galarraga's 535 foot moonshot HR in Miami (off Kevin Brown as well), and the Marlins/Indians WS. Lots of Marlins related memories from 1997. lol
