I was in High school at the time but you look back at that Marlins squad we weren't winning and it wasn't shocking they beat the Yankees. Whole bunch of young guys who got paid on other teams and contributed well for those other teams

In 97 with Renteria? I was in 5th grade lol. I think I was a junior in high school when Jt got thrown out at the plate in 2003
We have to be the same age lol, I was like in 4th or 5th don't remember exactly but I know I was living in Georgia during that series. I just remember for some odd reason as a kid I was going for the Indians in that series and I wasn't even a hardcore giants fan at that age because for one living in the east coast I had no clue really and I had a thing for the braves because they were obviously on TV a lot since I lived like an hr away from ATL

I was born in 87. I think I was "rooting" for the Indians for some reason too. Maybe just based off of the team names, because at that age I didn't follow professional baseball really. I was just getting into actually watching Niners games. But yeah like I said my parents always had the Giants games on, so eventually I actually sat down and watched a game and loved it, and have never stopped. I also remember being annoyed as a kid, while living in CA and seeing the Braves on TBS every day after school lol
