Also I want to say I heard about Posey because he played all 9 positions in a college game. And I want to say he hit a grand slam also lol

That was the only draft I ever recall paying attention. Think it was Beckhams, Alvarez, orioles got like Brian Matsuz or some pitcher like that. Hosmer Royals. Was Justin Smoak in it too? Because I think I remember thinking "a reasonable expectation would be for us to draft smoak" but that may have been the next year.

either way the mlb draft sucks lol

The Orioles also passed on Posey for Brian Matusz. The fact that Posey was the best player in that draft, and was literally in the Rays' backyard, and they picked Tim Beckham instead is unbelievable.

So fkn stupid that they will have the DH in the NL next year. Now the Giants draft makes sense it's coming boys and it will be a sad day

The MLB draft is definitely a crapshoot, freaking Pedro Alvarez raked at Vanderbilt and was a major bust in Pittsburgh.

Ehhh it's whatever, if we still had Bochy who knew what was doing and is a huge advantage when an AL team comes over then I would've cared more. But now these days you really don't have managers like him anymore and a guy like Kapler isn't a guy I trust making the right decisions right now so making it easier having a guy just DH doesn't bother me.

It'll take a half year to get used to it, then it'll be like it's been here forever.
