Spring training will start July 1, with the 60-game regular season starting the weekend of July 24-26. Play ball.

I have a buddy on the Dodgers who came up last year and did solid and this was going to be his first full year. Literally the worst timing for this to happen for
Him

Hate the Dodgers but feel for him. 60 games and he's a pitcher so he won't get the same amount of opportunities as expected

Also feel for the older players. Imagine this being your last season

I'm all for the DH, all the sudden buster doesn't have to catch nearly as much, if at all and probably will extend his career

I think Posey has 2 years left in his career regardless. He will play out the final 2 seasons of his contract, and his team option will be declined in 2022. Maybe he signs a cheap one year deal with SF that season if they think hes got a little left, but when the Giants don't have a spot for him anymore, he's going to retire. The comments he made a few months back have me convinced that he's going the Matt Cain route.

Shouldn't be a blow honestly, mad bum isn't here anymore and this team needs the pop BADLY. I never been the type to hold a grudge against a former rival unless he flat out disrespected the franchise, city and fans like John Rocker calling out New Yorkers when he pitched for the Braves

i cant think of a rule change I would hate more in baseball than adding the DH.
