Cmon now be real, Fielder is a big guy but he's not anything like Pablo is. Pablo has a gut that goes over his belt and was so big his damn belt came off while swinging in Boston and Fielder never looked like Pablo looks in that picOriginally posted by Niners99:Originally posted by FredFlintstone:Originally posted by Niners99:Originally posted by TheXFactor:Originally posted by sacniner:Originally posted by FaTaL:Pablo Sandoval is taking grounders at third base. 😂
He's plays better when he's round... but this is the biggest I've seen him. Baggerly with the subtle shot to show off his weight acting like it's about his throwing velocity lol
they need to convert him back to C. That's a fat boi right there.
Eh, he was fat in some of his best seasons. Nobody ever complained about Prince Fielder looking like that.
Fielder never got benched during the playoffs for being fat and his production never suffered for being a big guy. Plus he kept his weight in check
lol Prince Fielder didn't keep his weight in check. He has been fat since he was a small child. Nobody cared because he was a regular All-Star selection. People rip Sandoval apart every time he starts looking heavier than usual, when in reality it never had anything to do with his performance.

Kapler will be. Just wait and see.

Fielder has had a belly that hung over his belt for much of his career. Lets not try to rewrite history now.

The Giants have suspended workouts pending the results of coronavirus tests they sent in over the weekend.

Right, because there haven't been any successful fat MLB players. That never happens.
Someone please show me some concrete evidence that Pablo's career performance has been directly tied to his weight.
His defensive metrics are pretty consistent throughout his career, which is where being fat would presumably affect your performance in baseball. Having bad offensive production is not exclusive to fat players.
Suggesting that his weight has anything to do with how good he plays is completely unfounded. There are quite a large group of MLB players in fantastic physical shape that also suck. Then you have Babe Ruth, who was a fat drunk who is considered the greatest hitter ever.
Pablo is on this team to mentor off the bench. Hes not here to hit cleanup and lead the charge. Anyone who has been a Giants fan over the last 12 years should know better by now. Sometimes Pablo gets extra fat. Then he gets shamed by the fans and the media. Then he hires someone to help him lose weight. This has repeated many times over his career, and its never had to do with how hes seeing the ball. He got his nickname because of the fact that hes fat, but also nimble enough to dive for balls his down the line.

Gabe Kapler said Giants hope to get full Saturday test results back today and be back on field tomorrow. Won't be a huge setback in terms of getting ready. "Nobody expected this to be easy and everybody is doing the best that they can," he said.

Some teams had problems with testers showing up on time and some shipments were delayed getting to the lab in Utah. Maybe MLB should have used more reliable sources over a holiday weekend? Funny how some are getting upset.

"As a teenager, (he's) driving balls out of this ballpark, making this ballpark look small...

It's pretty impressive to see how he stacks up with mature major leaguers at this point in his development."
