Sucks for us about Posey but I understand the decision. Best of luck to him and his newly expanded family.

I'm excited to see our new young catchers.

Sucks Aramis Garcia got injured, this was his opportunity to shine.

I was just approaching this from the POV that there hasnt been a single player in all of sports who needed a press conference to announce an opt out. A retirement would have been completely out of the blue, but yeah thats the reason I posted that.

Correct me if I am wrong, but that foul ball thing the A's are doing is $50 bucks more expensive than what we are. At least thats what I remember seeing on twitter somewhere.

Does the 8 mil he was due this season come off the books?

If so maybe FZ tries to buy another prospect for salary filler at trade deadline like the Cozart trade.
