***2019 NBA OFF-SEASON***

Kyrie is way too injury prone especially with his bum knee(s). Build around Tatum and Brown. There are some really good players that could be available at #14 which could propel them easily for the short and long term like KPJ. And then they have two more 1st round picks this year.

They better hope that Rozier, Brown, and Tatum look really good, at least two of them, otherwise they messed up big time.

Assuming that Tatum and Brown ever become 75% of the players that Davis is. Ainge has now missed out on both Leonard and Davis due to overvaluing his own assets. If those guys don't turn out to be stars and Tatum looked anything but a future star this past season, Ainge will have built a team to nowhere.

Personally I think Masai is the GM that all the hype seems to point to Ainge being. Ainge did a great job collecting picks but all his hopes now rest on Tatum and Brown becoming stars. If they don't, he failed.
Lakers made the trade too early and now don't have enough to sign a max level free agent

Yeah don't have high expectations for next year but Tatum and Brown will be like 22 and 23 next year? Last year was a s**t show especially after Ainge's attempt to land AD last offseason. Everyone on the team was practically trade bait. I think he f**ked up the team's psyche and that's one of the reasons they were so unpredictable - the chemistry was just never there. Trying to wean Hayward back into form also backfired -- that just ate into everyone's playing time and f**ked up the chemistry. If he's back 100% this year that will be a silver lining.
Bruins lost. Big Papi shot. Kyrie to the Nets all but sure now. Lost out on AD.

Boston sports had a rough week...

One bad week vs years and years of good? I would take it.

It is not over valuing, but the lack of assurance that he could sign either of those players long term. I don't blame Ainge at all.

At some point you have to go for it. Toronto did and got rewarded handsomely. Ainge can continue overrating the talent he does have and get nowhere. If Brown and Tatum don't develop into upper echelon stars, he will have failed in every sense.

I would agree with Leonard but in Davis case they would have been crazy to pull the trigger. Irving was leaving either way so what's the point of renting Davis for the year? You're not going to win with this just him and whatever Gordon Hayward has left. He'll bolt and you got nothing.
Kawhi to the Clippers
Kyrie and KD to the Knicks

Clippers win it all next year

So this, gimme a sharks cup, dubs doing what they did the past 5 years, Giants not sucking ass and the 9ers with a pats like run I'll take a miserable year any day of the week. Boston will be fine

Again, it is not over valuing his players imo. He would have been crazy to trade for Davis with no assurances.
