Dont make this about KD.
This is about a cool great hip city like Seattle and the Sonics and bumfuk Oklahoma
A great hip city that had a weak, apathetic fanbase and then suddenly every hipster became a Supersonics fan after the fact.
"Oh yeah I'm a long time Sonics fan. I was a big fan of that Gary Kemp guy. Loved that guy, he was all heart and soul. I was completely devastated when he went to play for the Chargers."
Meanwhile the fans in OKC are awesome and have shown that they deserve an NBA franchise.

Oklahoma City has earned a reputation for having some of the best basketball fans in the NBA and that notion was recently backed up in a study by WalletHub.
The survey, which compared 291 of the largest cities among NBA and Division I teams, found that Oklahoma City is the seventh-best basketball city in the country and the fifth-best city in the NBA.
The study factored in 21 different metrics to compile the scores for each city. Variables like fan engagement, attendance, team success and ticket prices were among those considered in the survey.
Given those metrics, it is no surprise OKC performed well.
