Magic screwed up ? No

Jerry West track record speaks for itself . Could have been Jesus instead of Magic and West would have still made this happen .

Notable what another GM thinks of Westbrook (and his contract) as well.

Without a guarantee of Leonard staying, I doubt Ujiri loved the thought of blowing up his roster only to become Thunder East. Now he has some big contracts coming off the books in the next two years and some real flexibility.

Depends who they are keeping. If Lowry and Gasol is also part of the deal, then no. But if was just Siakim, picks, and other players not named Gasol and Lowry, then that was dumb to turn it down.

Why? Westbrook and Siakim are not that far apart in terms of overall impact relative to their contracts. Toronto is dead in the water with Westbrook's contract. They wouldn't be able to do anything for 4 years.

Still, its not like top FA are going there. I believe i read that this was the first time a finals MVP switched teams the follwing year.

Lowry, Gasol, RW, and PG, thats a great team. And will Siakim stay there long term?

We'll see in 2 years if this worked out for the Raptors

Even if Leonard signs with an LA team? No, he did the right move financially and team wise to turn that down. If it was just George then absolutely ya do it but Westbrook is too big of a cancer to take on. He'd ruin that culture immediately.
Jerry West is the man

Presti is a great draft guy but yes, he seems bad at trading and managing stars. He traded Harden for nothing, hitched his wagon to Westbrook when Harden/Durant were the better pairing and are still close friends (that deal was really the beginning of the end for KD in OKC), he traded Ibaka who was just a key cog on the championship Raptors, traded for Melo, traded PG ... a few other not so great trades.

Only by name recognition. PG and RW didnt do anything of note together and had Adams who is on par with Gasol. So you are really only adding Lowry and he doesnt fit since he's an undersized point guard being paired with RW.

I blame Bron for Durant getting injured. Only hardcore Bron boys will disagree.

Possibly the best and funniest summary of free agency fans reaction including the Kawhi signing.
A new low for the Lakers, might as well be called the Knicks-West.

And nobody wants to play for the coach killing stat-padding whore LeBron(except Anthony Davis because they share the same agent and Davis has been a loser since he was drafted)

Lakers fans been telling me they'd be contenders for a decade and LeBron turns any team into contenders, they've been wrong. Clippers about to take over LA.

NBA fans love Anthony Davis for quitting on his team, unbelievable
