***2019 NBA OFF-SEASON***

So, the NBA will have multiple leagues around the world and then there will be an off season tournament between all the champions, or the NBA will literally have teams in countries all over the world and the North American teams will all travel across the globe and play in the same regular season and playoffs?
Oh come on. You dont see NBA players agreeing to 8,000 mile roadtrips?

lol laker fans getting so bent out of shape when others don't agree that they had a stellar offseason.

Its truly a strange team to be relying on to go for a championship

An old distracted star, a young fragile star, a leftovers choice for a head coach, an assistant head coach with a snake reputation, a mismash of old, flawed veterans and a couple of useful but not stellar young dudes.

Everything has to go right. But dysfunction and injuries are more likely to happen.

I wonder what you would've said about this team:

Better owner, better coach, and better players than the current team.

I'm not privy to what the NBA does, all I'm saying is that there is a market. Any good business has two aims, expand the market and increase profits.

2010 team? Phil Jackson, Kobe, Pau, Bynum before he decided to be a lazy fat sack of s**t. Better team than now.

Pretty extreme take, but you're right about the global appeal of hoops

Its just the idiotic responses saying we had a terrible offseason. Anybody who thinks that is trolling or hasnt been watching basketball for long. Lakers had a really good offseason. Just bc clippers won the offseason doesn't diminish what other teams did. Basically saying that Jazz did terrible too just bc they didnt get Kawhi. Lakers got AD, Cousins, and Green. 2nd favorite to win it all according to Vegas. Im not sure how we had a bad offseason.

I don't think the lakers had a bad offseason at all, just don't happen to think it was anything special. My thing is it seems like laker fans trying to convince themselves this was a home run offseason, just my opinion though

Well just start seeing more talent in the NBA from other countries and continents more than anything. We already are: Giannis, Siakam, Embiid, Doncic, etc. NBA is gonna be stacked with international talent

Eh, they have Anthony Davis for the next 6 years +. Even if they don't win one with Lebron they still have an incredible chance with AD in the future. He'll be 29 with Lebron's 40 mill coming off the books in addition to currently no other contract over 2 years on the team. Who knows what super team they'll create in the future. They did hit a homerun landing a 26 year old AD

Remember though my friend, you and I have vastly differing opinions on AD and his impact. We shall see though, he's a very talented guy.

We do, lol. I think it all comes down to his health. He always gets banged up near the end of the season with nagging injuries, if he stays healthy I don't think there'll be a better combination of talent and athleticism in the league. Obviously Giannis is first right now in that regard

I'm surprised fans think my idea of a Global NBA is crazy. Look at the NBA Summer League, Croatia and China are competing against the NBA in the Summer League. Are they doing it for increased good-will to these nations or is the plan unfolding before our eyes.

If you are talking about the NBA playing a few more games in Europe, Asia, and other parts of the world to increase exposure and ultimately grow merchandise sales and popularity of the sport.. then I agree with you. If you are talking about having teams in other continents and having NBA players make massive road trips then I could not disagree more.
