If you are talking about the NBA playing a few more games in Europe, Asia, and other parts of the world to increase exposure and ultimately grow merchandise sales and popularity of the sport.. then I agree with you. If you are talking about having teams in other continents and having NBA players make massive road trips then I could not disagree more.

Not feasible, logistically. Maybe a once in four years World Cup type thing... oh yeah, it's called the olympics

This. Logistics of it are impossible other than a game here and there followed by a long break.

And there's no way they set up full leagues elsewhere to eventually play a champs tourney. Who's going to play in those other leagues? Either it's second rate players (like current foreign leagues) or you convince top players to play away from the U.S. media spotlight (never going to happen).
The NBA has become bigger than football. Even the off season is more exciting. Goodell should take notes.
I think the NBA should add veterans league for retired players during summer like the big 3 they are missing out on a lot of revenues. I know there's summer league for Rookies then just add in a veterans league so old players can get paid as well. Just a random thought.

Adam Silver has explored possibilities about other formats for the NBA.

So along the lines of a champs tourney, how about something like this:

NBA regular season - 62 games or even less.
NBA Playoffs - 5-5-7-7 format
Whole NBA season is from late Nov to late May

45 day break to mid July

Mid July - Champs tourney Selection: 12 teams

NBA Final Four Teams
Top 4 teams from Europe
Champion team from Chinese/Australian/Philippine/South America

In order to level out the competition between NBA teams and the rest of the world, each of the international teams get to draft up to 3 each players from the other 26 NBA teams (only 1 per NBA team - for example - Real Madrid cannot draft both Splash Brothers into their team)

Players from the other 28 teams can submit their names to the draft pool if they are willing to participate.

Actual tournament can be in mid-August which gives a month for the NBA players to practice with their international team.

Theyll have to work out the compensation and insurance for players and parent NBA teams if they get injured of course

As a Laker fan I think it's an awesome offseason. We didn't get Kawhi like I wanted, but they assembled a competitive squad with playoffs or championship experience. A lot of haters like to downplay the Davis trade that its only ok because of injuries, but if this trade happen in NY, headlines would say Knicks are Back!

I don't think so. The NFL is way more dominate over any other sport. The NFL schedule release generates more buzz than the NBA playoffs beginning in April. The NFL Draft is a HUGE deal, way more watch worthy than the NBA Draft where you get drafted by a team but that's really not your team but go do an interview with their hat on! That is STUPID! The NBA didn't start an awards show until they saw how good the Honors did for the NFL. So apparently SIlver been taking some notes.

NFL is way ahead of these other leagues, IMO.
Only a matter of time before Westbrook is traded.

Yeah, the NBA is popular, but not as popular as the NFL.

NFL is the king in the US, but NBA has potential to expand like soccer.

Obviously they're going to be in the mix and it's obvious that Lebron wanted an easy path to another championship but Kawhi said no -- everyone gotta work for it -- it will be more meaningful haha.

He turns 35 in December. I'm sure he'll be on a play time restriction. The window is small. Bench support (with a group that has never played together before) needs to materialize or it'll be a quick playoff outing imo. Future looks bright though with AD and Kuzma. Cousins has always been shedding the lbs but I think he needs to drop another 20.
Now this is a juggernaut team. GSW South
