Lol at anyone who actually thinks the NBA is better than NFL

In the US, you're right.

Worldwide? It's the NBA and it's not even close.

No one gives a f**k about the NFL outside of North America and the US expat/overseas military population.

but worldwide popularity and generated revenues are not the same thing

Its a great idea, we even discussed in the lakers thread a couple days ago. Either that or have Rondo play 30+ min a night.

And its best for the team. Unless you think we have a better PG capable than Bron.

Bron
Green
Kuzma
Davis
Boogie

Thats our best 5, gotta figure out a way to get them all on the floor.

I think it's the right move for LAL. Bron has a lot to prove this year and should have a chip on his shoulder.

Their starting five is raw as hell, especially if Boogie goes back to pre-quad injury form.

I think its the right move considering how the team is constructed. Just find it funny that Bron has specifically stated he wants to play off the ball.

As far as the Rondo comment of yours goes, I agree with you there too. I just think that the signing was dumb in and of itself if he isnt going to be playing much.

It's not a coincidence that ratings for the big three have all declined in the last ten years. Attentions spans are shorter. The leagues will need do find creative ways to make revenue, and the NBA is doing that. Their star power is unmatched.

Ratings dropping is a misnomer. They don't count streamers in the ratings. This includes Vue, Hulu+, Sling people I believe. Cable subscription is down everywhere because stream services offer the same channels for much cheaper and no contracts. Actual viewership isn't down and some who have tried to compute numbers on streamers believe it is actually up (this is for all sports).

Interesting... do you have links that discuss game viewership increasing? I have never heard that before, and based on friends/family, it seems as if people watch less full games in general.

NBA finals ratings are down this year, but that can also be attributed to the fact that only 50% of the fans of teams in the Finals were counted in the ratings. Thats huge.

Wrong FL team

Knicks or really any team that has no chance to bring in all-stars via FA should be all over getting Westbrook
Clippers depth chart ain't playing y'all.

PG: Patrick Beverley
SG: Landry Shamet
SF: Kawhi Leonard
PG: Paul George
C: Ivica Zubac

PG: Lou Williams
SG: Rodney MacGruder
SG: Moe Harkless
PF: JaMychal Green
C: Montrezl Harrell
I wonder how Butler feels about Westbrook trying to jump on in Miami.

Been saying that as well. I actually think he's a good fit for the Magic.

They're loaded at Guard and Forward positions. I fully expect them to do something about Center position. Can't expect Zubac and Harrell to play all the minutes at center in playoffs against elite big men.
