OKC. Once they trade Westbrook, they will have 30 first round picks in next 6 years
The city of LA had the best offseason.
f**k em both.

1st round picks are so overrated. Like 80% of them end up being scrubs or worse.

Exactly, getting late 1st round picks is nothing great. You may get some role players but you're not gonna get your next big star.Originally posted by TheSixthRing:Originally posted by Bluefalcon61:Originally posted by 49erWill:Which team (other then yours) had the best off season?

And barring horrible injuries to PG and Leonard, its not like they're gonna be getting one lottery pick from LA and that one pick from Denver will most likely be a late 1st round pick too.

NBA draft is not like NFL draft. Outside top 5 the bust rate is incredibly high. Like out of the league after first contract bust.

So I'm from Indiana and have a friend who is beside himself because the Clippers got PG/Kawhi. Reason being, Pacers drafted both. It's like rubbing dirt in the wound lol

There's a decent chance a lot of them won't be late. PG is only under contract for 2 more years, Kawhi is under contract until 2023, and both have significant injury histories. They don't get their 1sts until 2022, 2024, and 2026 while also being able to swap in 2023 and 2025. There's no guarantee the clippers will still be a playoff team then or have either of those guys.
Even if the clippers aren't terrible in those years, we just saw the Lakers land the 4th pick while being the 11th worst team, Pelicans landed the 1st with the 8th best odds.
Those picks are years away from being valuable but for a team in Oklahoma City who will never ever attract any free agents it's a good haul of assets to start rebuilding with, especially given Presti's lottery draft history
Add that to SGA and whatever they'll get for Gallinari and that's a great haul for 1 player

Clips and Lakers
I think they equally succeeded. Clips got the biggest name but Lakers every bit as good and may be better if Boogie is 20-10 again.
Best: Clippers, Brooklyn, Pelicans
Worst: Warriors, Lakers, Rockets, Twolves

Lakers among the worst when they added AD, Cousins and Green?
