Celtics didnt promise jack to IT. I dont understand how someone can try and pawn this off as truth? Is there proof of this promise?
IT was the one mouthing off to the media about "better get the Brinks truck out to pay me". That was directed to any team interested in his services. He played with heart and through his lingering hip injury but they eventually shut him down in the playoffs.
Dont feel too bad about IT. Dude has made more than 40MM over his career??

Didn't they just sign Gordon Hayward not that long ago?
Also what's there not to trust, once you get your contract? Dude has always been trying to build a winning roster...the whole IT thing imo is nonsense, he wasn't close to as talented as Irving and had health issues. What team is giving him a max deal? No one that's who. Same s**t as BB in NE.

Even if he was "promised" something which like you said might be BS. When you get a chance to get a talent like Irving you do it. Any GM would have done the same, especially with IT's health. How much would fans loved seeing Boston pay IT $100+ million over the past couple yrs lol wth.....Sounds like sour grape Celtics haters to me.

Jesus who the hell is throwing 💰 out there?
Not Dallas
Numerous teams and agents believe Al Horford has a four-year offer awaiting him in free agency worth an estimated $112 million. Sources with knowledge of the Mavericks' thinking continue to insist that such a deal will NOT be coming from Dallas. Free agency starts in eight days

God I hope it's the Knicks hahaha

Give it a rest. Your bias is clear.
They signed Hayward because of Stevens. Without him Hayward probably doesn't even meet with them.
You are giving reasons for why Boston shouldn't have the rep they do. We are simply saying they have a bad rep which is widely considered to be true. Your reasons don't change that.

...umm because of Brad Stevens (who was his coach in college). When Boston hired Brad Stevens - Gordon Hayward was penciled in as a FA acquisition for Celtics. Not before that.
..and I do hate Celtics...but that doesn't change the fact that Boston has been unable to land superstar players thru FA even with their amazing history.
But, yes - it's easier to just say - you're a Celtics hater and ignore the obvious. Boston should have a max space this summer. Let's see which star they get via FA.

Bias on what? I'm an Orlando magic fan...if anything I should dislike Boston based on being in the same conference.
There's two players that have said they don't want to play for them....how is that a bad rep? I'm being objective.

On ESPN's The Jump, @WindhorstESPN says the Nets are "gaining confidence" that they'll sign Kevin Durant.
— Tommy Beer (@TommyBeer) June 21, 2019
Kendrick Perkins says the Nets are the front-runners to land KD.
Windy adds that Perkins is "not the only person involved in the NBA that has told me that." pic.twitter.com/1svJgn5F6k
Makes sense...Nets are making moves to create enough room for Kyrie's max (30%) of salary cap and KD's max (35%) of salary cap. They traded away their 1st round pick yesterday to get closer to that room.

What do you mean before that? Stevens has been the coach since 2013....who was talking about Hayward going elsewhere before that?
You are correct we will see who goes there. They're clearing up space for something apparently. Again I'm not a fan of the team, but I think it's nonsense that teams don't want to play there because of a GM....especially if they are gonna get paid regardless.

Someone will pay him a lot...probably over pay him. Don't think he is worth the max but might get it...definitely close to it.

just Google it
Your opinion, and mine or 4ML, means nothing. You are stating your opinion. We are stating the opinions of players and media members who would actually know. This isn't exactly a new thing either. Been this way for a decade or so.
