LeBron James' camp has reportedly denied all reports that he reached out to other superstar players ahead of free agency,

Appearing on The Insiders for TheLandOnDemand.com, ESPN's Brian Windhorst (h/t RealGM) said Wednesday that James' team is adamant those rumors are false:

"The LeBron operation, I don't know how else to put it, but they have basically thrown cold water and vehemently denied everything that has been out there the last couple of days. They have denied that he is communicating with Kawhi Leonard. They have denied he is communicating with Kevin Durant about joining up in Los Angeles. They have denied there is a three-way conversation going on between Paul George, Kawhi and LeBron. They have denied that Kawhi being traded to the Lakers would clinch LeBron going to the Lakers. They have pretty much denied that any of that is happening."

Oh Windhorst...lol but fair enough.

Btw Klutch stopped giving him info a while back. But, that's fair. Not like Schultz is connected to Lebron's ppl consistently.

A little something to pass the time until free agency starts. This was titled "the best player for each jersey number in NBA history"

Any objections?

No. 4 stood out to me. It's Webber which isn't bad but Bosh wore it in his Toronto years which is how long Webber wore it in Sac. Barkley also wore it in Houston.

But really, it should have been Joe Dumars. Wore it the longest with one team (it's a specific uni they have to use), made more All-Stars, more All-Defensive teams and was a Finals MVP wearing it.

Ya #4 should be Joe D. Webber is also already on there for the #84 he wore his 1 season in detroit

...btw, this was reported last summer when Kawhi wanted out of SA and wanted to come to the Lakers.

A year can change a lot of things though...but I take all these reports with a grain of salt though.

Lol alleviate what pressure? His defense is laughable now.

Don't think his defense is great or anything but laughable is an exaggeration.

Ya he can still be good when he wants too, he just became lazy on defense.

Yea...everything gets amplified when it's Lebron. I didn't see any team target him on defense like they target so many players.

ahhhhhhhh now I see the distaste for Boston...you're a Lakers fan. It ALL makes sense now

He's not. He just a LeBron follower

I mean that's kinda how the NBA is now....people tend to be fans of a player rather than a team.

I miss the NBA back in the 90s

Kawhi opting out as expected.

Raptors favorite to re-sign him but he's expected to meet other teams.

I think if he's taking meetings - there is a decent chance he's looking for reasons to leave.

My prediction - it'll be between Lakers and Raptors. Hopefully, coming back to SoCal will be a big pull. Lakers should tell him that he and his family will have whatever he wants.

lol. if he goes to LA it'll be with Clippers.

odds now are in favor of him staying in Toronto

Vince over Melo easily. While Vince wasn't a great defender either, he tried at least, and got you rebounds. Melo just wanted to shoot 18 ft jumpers all game. Plus, Vince has been a great locker room guy, and has the longevity, and the greatest dunk of all time.

I swear Carmelo has gone from overrated to one of the most underrated players of all time.

Vince over Melo "easily"?!?! Sorry that is laughable.

All Stars: 10-8 in favor of Carmelo
All NBA: 6-2 in favor of Carmelo
Scoring champion: 1-0 in favor of Carmelo
Rookie of the year: 1-0 in favor of Vince

Those are their NBA accomplishments. And since you want to talk about "greatest dunk of all time," then its only fair to say:

Olympic Gold Medals: 3-0 in favor of Carmelo
Olympic Bronze Medal: 1-0 in favor of Carmelo

The fact that you claim that Vince over Melo "easily" is ridiculous.

I was a Reggie Miller fan in the 90s. No one had a problem with it then bc he never won lol

Loved miller...Knicks killer

I was a huge magic Johnson fan, then got on the penny Orlando Magic train. Kinda stuck with them forever but I don't care for the NBA like I did when I was younger. Brand of ball was just better back then imo.

I don't wanna go into laughable and ridiculous part of the post (that was not needed) but yes I'll take Melo over Vince Carter for sure.

The biggest knock on Melo for me is - he didn't do enough to improve his game drastically throughout his career. Also, he didn't work hard on his body. Had he done those things - he would have been a 30,000 pts scorer and considered one of the greats in the game as far as scoring is concerned. Dude was so skilled - he could score 25 without breaking a sweat. Problem was - he was contend with that.

But, even with that - I'll take him over Vince for sure...bc I think Vince has similar faults. He didn't really improve as much as he could have. He just is so much more athletic that he could cont to play even after losing couple of steps.

Would be the best move for him to sign a 1+1 deal there. With that whole main core back and the league wide open, Toronto can make a run at another title and Leonard still has the option to run off as that group ages out.

Why put it off for another year - if he's eventually going to leave.

Personal opinion is that his quad has some major problems and he is going to take the supermax from Toronto to lock in as much money as possible.

yup and I think that makes a ton of sense, that's what ESPN was saying.... Once you're in the league for 10 yrs, you get 35% of the teams cap.

The East is pretty open and you gotta like the path to the finals there. The Raptors know to give Leonard "load management" throughout the yr and he'll be 29 after the two seasons. Bro can get stupid money after that in LA if he really wants.

Well, that's a good reason to re-sign.
