Kawhi opting out as expected.

Raptors favorite to re-sign him but he's expected to meet other teams.

I think if he's taking meetings - there is a decent chance he's looking for reasons to leave.

My prediction - it'll be between Lakers and Raptors. Hopefully, coming back to SoCal will be a big pull. Lakers should tell him that he and his family will have whatever he wants.

lol. if he goes to LA it'll be with Clippers.

odds now are in favor of him staying in Toronto

No one really knows. Nothing is coming out of his camp yet. Chris Haynes just said that execs around the league think Toronto is favorite but no one really knows.

I think he's going back for that 2 year option - then hit it big in FA again.

Imo that's the least likely option. Again, he can do anything so who really knows but that will make the least sense. He can't risk an injury after what happened in San Antonio. He will sign a 4 or 5 year max deal imho.

Also, Lakers or Clippers may not have the cap space in 2 years. If he wants to move closer to home - imo it has to happen this season.

In 2 years the Lakers can dump LeBron's old ass and roll with AD and Kawhi.

They can't. Lebron has the player option. Plus, isn't Lebron the running the team anyway?

I remember when Lakers were gonna trade Lebron. That happened lol

Damn dude. Simmons can't be happy. Thought he had ROY in the bag. Oh well, always next year. Will be tough with Zion though.

The free agency period starts a day and a half before that. I wonder who he's meeting with first.

LeBron is an all time great and even the biggest Bron haters have him as a top 5 player ever. But for the purposes of this jersey number game, Bron shouldn't be a part of it.

Pretty much. I'm not saying Russell > LeBron but LeBron only spent 4 years with #6. Same goes for MJ and 45. I'd put someone else there.

Hopefully Lakers at some point. If I'm the Lakers - I'm bring Blake Griffin to the meeting. Let him tell Kawhi all about what Balmer and the Clippers FO.

Happy for Giannis. He deserved that MVP.

It's pretty crazy, actually.
