Lakers are going to have an extremely thin roster if Kawhi doesnt sign.

I mean even with him the depth still sucks but those 3 stars will be able to overcome a lot

Ayton was the consensus #1 pick and still had a pretty good rookie season despite not having a PG worth a damn. Doncic blew up but its not like Ayton was bad at all. It was a tremendous year for rookies. One of the main reasons that they brought in Rubio was to help Ayton get more easy scoring opportunities.


Bridges as a rookie showed a lot of poise and that he can be a tremendous wing defender. Not a single Suns fan regrets acquiring him. He is the anti-Josh Jackson in terms of his attitude and basketball IQ.

Koko is a great assistant, he was a giant p***y of a head coach.


Ariza got paid and then mentally checked out. Getting Oubre back for him was a great move. Oubre made himself into a core building block and acted as a leader on and off the court. Plus he's so pretty.


Chandler got bought out because he was being outplayed by both Ayton and Holmes.



Mostly Jones has been cleaning up the mistakes of McDonough and dumping the super headcase that is Josh Jackson was the final step. No telling if he'll turn out to be at all worthwhile as a GM but at least he appears to have a plan.

Depends who they can get. Still some good players left in the FA market. They can pivot to:

Danny Green, SG
KCP, SG
Marcus Morris, PF
Justin Holiday, PG
Javale McGee, C
Andre Iguodala, F (likely buyout)
Korver, SG
Avery Bradley, SG (could be released by Memphis)

Will be interesting to see what Lakers do with or without Kawhi.
