Yea, they were going to offer anything less than max.

lol all your unrealistic trade offers or free agent signings are even more laughable. Keep living in dream land and keep copy and pasting other peoples opinions and claiming them as your own so you can seem knowledgeable

Oh you mean like our scrub young players and worthless draft picks that COULD NEVER get us Anthony Davis? Lol gtfo

It took the Celtics not wanting to include Tatum in order for the Lakers to come into play. I still stand by what i said

Oh you thought Celtics were going to include tatum? Well thanks for reaffirming you have noclue what's going on.

This.

Kyrie wasn't gonna stay and at that point - it makes zero sense to offer Tatum. Plus, Lakers offer was worth more than just Tatum. Ainge would have to include multiple 1st round picks with no protection. He just wasn't gonna do that.

Crazy how all those that talked so poorly about the Laker's young talent have just absolutely disappeared.

I think a lot changed when you guys got the #4 pick.

Ya, you might think that. You also thought Lonzo and BI were garbage compared to other possible offers - which were non-existent. So, I think it just made what the Pelicans were already going to accept a sweeter deal. Lakers were the only real suitor to land Davis. Celtics were never going to be able to use Kyrie in a deal.

That's because you guys made that "talent" disappear. When Irving bolted Celtics were onto plan b as you can't gamble on renting Davis without Irving and a real chance at a title.

You mean 4th pick in a 3 player draft changed a lot?

Yes. That pick made the young talent already on the team look much better.
Let's say Lakers are able to land a max type player. Let's assume DLo for 25M (I think he's worth 18-20 but ppl will get overpaid).

How would you guys fill out rest of the roster with minimum contracts? Who would you sign who may take a minimum deal?

You wont find a single post that has me saying Lonzo is garbage. In fact, I have argued with many NBA fans (including Laker fans) who think Lonzo isnt any good.

I do believe the offer that the Pelicans accepted was better than the reported offer from the season.

The reported midseason trade was Lonzo, Ingram, Kuzma, Hart, and Zubac (plus maybe veterans).

The trade accepted was Lonzo, Ingram, Hart, #4 and multiple other 1st round picks.

I know you guys seem to have your guards up at all times to combat what you guys deem as hate towards the Lakers. But this really isnt hate. The difference in the two offers meant the Pelicans had to choose between Kuzma and Zubac or the #4 and multiple first round picks. Is it really that outlandish to believe the latter is more valuable?

Mid season offer also had multiple unprotected draft picks in the future and 2019 draft pick.

Offers are pretty even. Which goes to say they were just waiting on Boston and Tatum. They flopped, Irving left, so they took the LA deal.

That's fair
Why would the pelicans or hawks help them out by taking back those guys?
