Based on a five-year, US$189.7 million max contract the Raptors could give Leonard, his annual income works out to US$38 million. Adam Scherer, a tax partner at Crowe Soberman LLP who wrote a recent blog about the subject, estimated that Leonard's additional tax bill from playing for the Raptors versus playing for a California team (assuming the same annual salary) would be a mere $300,000 — chump change for Leonard and less than one per cent of his gross income."

This guy got a little more detailed with how everything is broken down, it seems.

I don't pretend to understand all this, myself, but seems to me the guy I linked took a little more into consideration than the Canadian guy.

Good pickup on J. Dudley. He use to catch fire against us while with Suns. I use to hate how his scrunchy fat nose touches his upper lip when he makes a stank face after Bombing us with3's...We are good now though! He can make that stank face all he wants!

Kawhi in Toronto for his final meeting of FA with Raptors. I'm expecting a decision today or early morning tomorrow.

Hopefully, he'll be telling them that he's out and heading to Lakers. We will know soon.
