I'm going thru some of these highlight videos of AD and Cousins playing together...man they were playing really well together before Boogie got hurt. Obviously I don't expect him to be the same player before injury but they had great chemistry. Hopefully, they can get back to that and it kinda makes more and more sense to start them together.

It does make sense. Cousins is a natural 5. AD is a natural 4. But then what becomes of Kuzma? Where does he fit in?

Cousins needs to go back to making 35% of his 3s from the top of the key or from the wings. Before last season - his 3pt % for previous 4 years combined was slightly above 36% and he was not under 35% for any of those seasons. So, 35% is more than reasonable expectation from him.

He is gonna get a lot of open looks if he starts. Gravity of AD, Lebron and Green will certainly mean wide open looks for Cousins and whoever is the 5th starter (hopefully not Rondo).

And Cousins as ball handler in PnR with AD was so devastating with Pels. Can't wait to see that. Stay healthy Boogie!

I think Kuz takes on a role of Lou Williams on this team. Lakers can give Kuz majority of AD's and Lebron's backup minutes. So, he should still average 30+ minutes a game...share the floor with AD or Lebron at all times and play along both near the end of close games.

I think AD plays 5 against small ball lineups in the 4th quarter. Then you can have Bron and Kuz as forwards.

Do think AD plays a good amount of Center in western conf. playoffs. Outside of Portland and Denver - don't think any team has a physically big Center that AD can't handle.

If you think being a fan of someone = being obsessed - then I'm guilty as charged. Then I guess everyone on this site is obsessed.

But, I'm talking about something else. Being obsessed with someone you hate is just sad. Hope you find something in life that doesn't fill your head with thoughts for ppl you hate.

Anyway, thoughts from Lakers fans on mini-camp in Vegas before the training camp? I think with so many new parts - this had to be done. They gotta play as a team and build that chemistry. It will take time - better to start early!

Great idea. I have no problem with guys spending their own time playing together when they don't have to.

was hoping to see some of our players be on team usa. Glad Kuzma is going. Thats gonna help him since hes gonna be one of the few good players on that team. Wouldve been good for Cousins to be there too. But i understand the risks with that.
