I think it's a great idea. I don't think this will do anything for their on court chemistry. But it should give them a head start to feel each other out and how their personalities mesh and hit the ground running when they start real camp and start putting into place the offense etc. Off court chemistry is huge for teams that want to go win a title, which is what we are trying to do this year so I'm all for it.

Nice high release there. That's the form he's working on. Good to see it in a game. It's a pretty good form that he can repeat consistently with repetition. Gotta see if he holds it when he's tired.

I like the move too as long as he knows he's the no 2 guy behind Vogel. Lebron has always been able to take criticism from coaches who have played in this league and Kidd is the kind of coach who will say what needs to be said. Kidd is a first ballot HOFer - and what he says will mean something to everyone incl. Lebron, AD, and Cousins. I think he's uniquely positioned to challenge the big ego ppl in Lakers locker room.

I don't love it. He hasn't really proved to be anything more than a mediocre coach. And a guy that may have a hard time in a secondary role. You hope he learns from his mistakes, gets picked up by another club as the head guy and is able to bring veteran championship voice in what just became a championship level squad. Well see.

Couple of notes (some more important than others)

We will only have 11 games that start at 7:30 PST (this so they can maximize east coast viewership and great for me since I wake up 4AM everyday so win win baby!)

We travel by far the least miles of any western conference team - this probably the most underrated note. Huge for our older guys and will help keep them fresh for later in the season.

Our first 18 games only 8 teams that are projected to make the playoffs - this is good for a team with a lot of new pieces, the con being our middle of the year schedule is brutal which is usually when nagging injuries cost key players PT.
