Don't want DLo...Lakers should either go Kawhi or get 3-4 good players who fit Lebron and AD and can start.

Regardless, they should try to get to 32M. That'll definitely get them 3-4 players worthy of playing big roles on a championship team.

Really hoping they can get McGee, Korver and another decent vet or two on minimum deals.

I'm told that the Lakers pursuit of unloading contracts of Wagner, Bonga, and Jones isn't ONLY to create a max slot. It is to maximize the amount of cap space to pursue free agents, sources say.

We can't keep Wagner? Jesus. We really are going all in. Are these scrub free agents that we are going to be signing past their primes to veteran deals going to really be that much better for hte next 1-3 years than Wagner?

If Lakers want to create max space - they'll have to trade Wagner, Bonga, and partially guarantee Jones contract (and then trade him) to get to 21M to trade for AD as an over the cap team on July 6th. That means - to maximize cap space...sign all the FAs by 6th (use up 108-109M of cap space entirely) and then trade for AD. Then you only have to send out 21M to Pels to bring AD on the roster.

I also think minimum vets have more to give during the playoffs than Wagner or Bonga next couple years.
