Bayern players and the board of directors have all agreed to a 20% pay cut so that lower level staff can be kept on board.

Sad to hear about Pep's family loss.
Glad to hear Germany has done tremendous job to fight COVID-19 and are probably the only big European country that can get back to somewhat of a normal life.

Gutted today would have the final day of the championship season & I'd have been likely celebrating getting back to where we belong after 16 years. I was 18 when we were relegated didn't expect it to be 34 before it would happen & still not sure if we will be promoted

Whatever happens in terms of football coming back, i definitely think it's going to be different in the way it is run. Football has needed a hard reset for years it's a shame it's taken a global pandemic to make football realise it's not sustainable the way it was going. In england there are 92 what you would call professional league clubs & even in the leagues below that most teams are full time players & the rest part time ie work a normal job & are also paid a varying amount for a football team.
The money for tv rights has spiralled whilst in the premier league meaning wages have increased both the premier league & championship whist the tv money for rights in the championship are next to nothing meaning clubs are gambling on promotion in the championship sometime 200 times their annual turn over & rely on money coming in through the form of tv money & attendances etc now that income has dried up clubs are facing extinction. Take Leeds for example the biggest club in the championship has an annual income of 60 million, of which only 4.5 million is from tv rights compared to 120 million per year in the premier league. Even though the championship is the 4th most watched in Europe, more than france. Our wage bill annual is 94% of the that 60 million & we're one of the better run clubs but still made a loss of 20 million a year. It's not sustainable. The 2 divisions below the championship are all struggling as they rely on income through crowds now don't have that and professional players those 2 leagues might only be on 60k a year mean that they're going to be in serious trouble paying mortgages etc.
Then you have the palace chairman stating today that next season is likely to be behind closed doors as well & if they can't find a way to start playing with no product the tv companies aren't going to be paying money meaning they're going to be like airlines & in serious problems but teams like burnley & Bournemouth, Brighton etc that are small clubs in reality only annual income 30 million plus the 120million l from tv are in big trouble if that's the case.
The house of cards is in trouble
