I don't care that much. Just like many people were "outraged" after the political stuff with the NFL and their ratings dipped... this year, everyone is back and the ratings have increased. I'm not outraged on this, just glad the NBA can't play the "woke" card for a while because they care about money over everything just like every other corporation.

Fair enough... kind of over this topic. Excited that hoops is just about a week away. The East is top heavy again, but the West... holy hell. I think these seven teams are locked in the playoffs barring major injury:

Clips
Denver
Utah
Lakers
Houston
Dubs
Portland

Means my Kangz have to battle it out with the Spurs for that remaining spot. This year should be fun... x factor in the West: Porter Jr. He looks so good, like an all star. If the Nuggets get all-star level play for him, damn they are scary

It affects your pockets when you speak against BLM too. But that's an issue that hits home for some of these ppl.

What is happening on the other side of the World isn't their concern. There are a lot of countries that violate human rights - we are not asking them to comment on everything.

It really doesn't though as conservatives trying to boycot things is as effective as a Shaq free throw. Nike sales are up since aligning with Kap. Here though we got to see what happens when social injustice can effect the pocket book and LeBron as well as the rest of the NBA folded like a lawn chair. I wouldn't criticize him if he said nothing, I think that's his right but once you put out a response meant to sway people's views you're fair game.

But he didn't. He said Morey shouldn't have tweeted support for Hong Kong without thinking about the fact that NBA teams were headed to China. He put them (of which he was part of) in harms way. Yes, he worded it poorly but he cleared up the confusion right away. But, I get it - ppl were looking for anything to criticize.

Plus, ppl were criticizing him before his statement that he hasn't said anything. So. I'm sure no comment would have been ok either.

When Nike released that Kap ad - universal thinking was Nike will get demolished in the stock market. Plus, it is not just conservatives - many independents and some in the left don't support BLM. It is never good business to piss off half the population. This is why many athlete never speak out.

And like I said - if someone feels passionately about what China is doing in Hong Kong - stop enabling them by buying their products or products made in China. Every one of those ppl should take personal responsibility to send a msg to China - rather than wait for others to sacrifice.

I think Mavs are gonna be decent too. West is gonna be brutal this year. East is gonna be between Sixers and Bucks imho - with Indiana once again being super underrated.

Looks all right in pre-season. Still rusty and doesn't look like he has the same explosiveness but that'll come as he plays more games. Hasn't played in year and a half. But, has looked all right so far.

Pelicans are pretty fascinating team as well. It'll be interesting to see how they do.
