Wasn't the media already previewing a Lakers vs Pelicans first round before the bubble even began lol

The way they handled Zion's mins - don't think Pelicans even wanted to make playoffs. Idk why they even showed up lol

How did the Blazers lose to the Clippers backups when they're desperately hanging on to the 9th seed?

Only Kawhi was out.
Go Sixers!

I agree with him in the sense that MIP is not for fringe all-star players who turn into top 10-12 players.

At least that's my understanding. I think it's for players who think are lesser players and they improve to become good players.

They sat George and most the other starters mid way thru the 4th. Portland just choked.

I agree. Everyone already knew he was a stud. Let someone else get some attention.
It's hilarious to me the level of hate the national media and casual fans have for harden and the love for Luka. Luka has modeled his game after Harden. He has said so on many occasions. I wonder what the one giant difference between Harden and Luka is... Harden has been putting up historic numbers for seasons now yet people still hate.

If Harden was either a family man like Steph or white it would be a completely different tune. The disrespect from the media and the casual fan is crazy.

Both are underwhelming on defense so there's that.

Not really true IMO, he leads the NBA in steals this season with 121. He gets no credit, I agree with ninersrule4.

Also so much for the Zion/Pelicans in the playoffs hype.

Harden has been a decent defender since the 2016 season. He has put a ton of focus and effort into that. He isn't a defensive liability like he once was. But if you listen to the talking heads he still is one of the worst defenders in the league. It's like they are stuck watching videos of him from 12-15.

You might be right. I've mainly focused on Suns game in that time. I don't follow the league like I once did 10 years ago. Not for lack of love, but for time I have to commit to it.

Speaking of Suns Monty Williams was such a great hire. One of the few things Sarver has ever done right

He's the right fit for this team. Terrible in the way that his wife died, but after a few years it seems like this is what he needs to help him persevere, and I think he's building a real culture here with this young Suns team. Sarver's been garbage in the way he's handled this team; most bluntly his mishandling of Joe Johnson may have cost this team a title or two. Hopefully he's learned his lesson and will allow basketball minds like Jones and Monty to push things forward from here on out.
