An hour away from Suns/Mavs and Grizz/Bucks. I'm getting excited. It's been a long time since the Suns played a meaningful game like this. Bucks better not f**k this up for me.

No Giannis. No Porzingis either though. Good luck, sir.

scroll down to where it says shooting, and you can see FG % from 0-3 feet 3-8 feet. basically in the paint.
Nash is statistically better than Kobe in both categories. So obviously Nash is a better finisher than Kobe. Not only that, but Nash has a higher % basically everywhere, including 3s. Nash is just a much better scorer than Kobe. And he's actually just 1% shy of being a better 3 point shooter than Curry as well.
*thats sarcasm btw.
Thank you for the links. I know that was sarcasm sir. All good.
For me, there are major differences between you drawing conclusions (albeit sarcastic conclusions) from your comparison and me drawing conclusions from my comparison.
First off, the difference in percentages between the two players you are comparing is less that half of a percent. That is far different than an 8% difference in the comparison between Curry/Dame. 0.4% is basically a meaningless difference. 8% is not.
And secondly, KB and Nash have completely different styles of play. Kobe played above the rim. Nash barely left the ground. Dame and Steph dont play markedly different in the same sense that KB and Nash did. Neither play above the rim. While they have slight differences in style, they have very similar styles of playing the game. With that being said, an 8% difference is a really large number. Huge.
And I asked the homie sac this yesterday and I will ask you. Since you completely have discredited percentage at the rim, what exactly do you think I should be looking at instead? If there is a better stat, I would be happy to be educated on it.
You can't just look at stats as the end all be all, the eye test should tell you more than the stats can. Thats why I brought up the shooting percentages between two players that are completely different as an athlete, but similar in numbers.
Now you say that Dame is similar to Curry around the rim, that is wrong. That man can barely dunk. While Dame does some ridiculous athletic shots around the basket, including some great alley oop dunks at times. Now he chooses to be more a of a 3 point shooter, but that doesn't mean they are similar when attacking the rim.
Show me Curry doing stuff like this, instead of % numbers, and I'll believe you.

I wouldn't count out the Suns just yet. They need to beat a Mavs team today that has nothing to play for except to be a spoiler, and the Grizzlies need to lose to a Bucks team minus Giannis, but if both happen they are in the play in at the 9 spot (and if Portland improbably loses to the Nets, the Suns get the 8 spot). Suns are unbeaten for a reason. They are playing great team defense and move the ball as well as any team in the league. And if a play breaks down? They got that Booker guy who's pretty good at creating his own shot.
I think Bucks will bench all starters in 3rd or 4th to let Grizzlies win that game.
Don't think Blazers gonna lose to Nets
Suns have very small chance.
I really hope and rooting for them make it to the play-in game against Blazers. That'll be a lot of fun!!!

Eh Utah isn't gonna last long. They don't match up well with Denver and not having Bogdanovic is a huge loss.
To be fair, Denver has the only chance of beating the Lakers/Clippers...and it wouldn't even be particularly surprising imo. So thats not a huge slight on Jazz.
I can't believe how deep they are even with their injuries. That team is going to be a b***h to deal with for a long ass time especially when they can move back into Denver arena.
What the hell happened there? Because even before the whole covid issue with Rudy and Mitchell, they never played to their full potential. I easily had them as the 3rd best team in West.
I think several things. Several of the vets they signed or traded for. Ed Davis, Jeff Green, and Conley just have not worked out. At all. There was some sort of friction earlier in this season that led to Green being released. Davis has been awful for some random reason after being a beast on the boards the last several seasons. Conley is not comfortable in a system where the ball isn't in his hands at all times. He struggled mightily for most of the season. Mitchell the last two seasons, has gotten kinda caught up with all the attention he gets now and I think that has carried over onto the court with his hero ball b******t. Add in the departures of a guy like Favors who was here for a decade and a well liked and close friend to Mitchell in Rubio and I think there's just a of issues of team identity and chemistry.

Makes sense. Especially the Conely part. He's turned into a afterthought there. He's gotta find a way to get himself involved more, even if its changing up this game.

The Kings have become what the Clippers and Warriors used to be. Lightweight feel bad for them. But at the same time, I dont haha.
The clippers and warriors can't hold a candle to how s**tty the Kings organization is
Dame is a better scorer than Steph and better taking it to the rim
The Kings are the worst franchise in major sports. Worse than the Browns

Unlike the Bucks - Nets will really try to win their game against blazers.

Only way the Suns have a chance at this point, unless Memphis has a monumental 4th quarter collapse.

Their games are similar though. You can say that Dame does some ridiculously shots around the basket....but Curry does too. Curry makes tons of athletic shots at the rim....he just isnt above it like Dame is at times.
Dame just has more bounce. No one will ever say he doesnt. But even with that being said, its not as if Dame is a dunker. He rarely dunks. I dont really think that one player dunking less than 1 time every 5 games makes his game substantially different than someone who doesnt dunk at all.

Memphis HC was assistant coach under Bud for a few years. Bucks went into this game to lose.

Recency bias my friend. They are cut from the same cloth. Just in the last 20+ years, the Kings and Warriors/Clippers have been opposites in terms of timeline.

I hear what you're saying, but we almost moved out of Sac every year for like 7 years lol. This franchise is pathetic and snake bitten
