This team is close to imploding lol. Major changes are coming this offseason. Nobody but Curry is safe. Even the coaches.

To quote Charles Barkley

There is no doubt in my mind that Bob Myers saw the decline coming and that is the reason he bailed. I expect Steve Kerr to do the same thing after this year.
Watching the games is painful and i dont see anything they can realistically do to make themselves a contender. There are just too many good teams in the West and the Dubs arent athletic or talented enough to contend.
I do think they will make at least one big trade and maybe 2. Wiggins and Paul are the most likely to go but i honestly cant come up with some magical trade that will turn things around.
We should all be thrilled that we were fans of a team that won 4 titles and would likely have won 6 if not for a suspension to Draymond and terrible injuries to KD and Steph. Those memories will always be there. Just wish the great years had lasted a little longer.

Myers definitely knew. he didnt want to be the one to break up the dynasty but he knew it was necessary. Klay is not Klay anymore, Draymond doesnt have the defensive clamps that he used to and we cant get by anymore with just steph killing the other team and nobody else doing anything. we are logjammed by our legacy players. Moody, Kuminga, Podz and TJD can all make arguments to start but we cant because of who people used to be. Kerr is on his way out, I just wonder if Steph asks for a trade or not if he sees a rebuild coming. the wheels fell off in spectacular fashion. I dont see one trade out there that can turn this around, we need a serious overhaul

With zero draft picks in the 2024 draft, we can't even root for the tank....we are in a pretty helpless spot. And as badly as we've played, the worst may be yet to come...dealing with a pouting Klay, big baby Dray, and melancholy Steph. This could get really sad and weird. The parades seem a long time ago--kind of reminds me of what's happening to Belichick. Stayed too long at the fair.

It sucks to see the team like this but didn't you all see it coming? The stars were getting older and the late draft picks weren't allowing them to get to talent. Too many high priced players so they can't afford free agents. All dynasties end sooner or later. All those extra playoff games took their toll and added another season to the starters playing time.

Not even sure Curry should be safe. He is near the end of his career too, and you could get a HAUL for him in trade even at his age. And you would be dumping the highest salary on the team. I know the fan base would scream, but it is something I am sure has been talked about. The team isn't going anywhere from now on … with or without Curry, Get a couple of young players and an expiring contract, and multiple 1st rounders? I would think about it.

The problem is tha you won't get any talent for those two guy. The trade will have to match Alaric's, so they will get some other teams high priced scrubs. The best you can hope for is expiring deals, but you can be sure you won't get better talent back.

I hate to see the stars like Curry, Klay and Draymond go but maybe it's time to blow it up. Trying to add a player here or there isn't going to build this team into another winner. They could get alot for Steph and even Klay. Dray might not get as much but some team could use him. Paytn will probably be relesed at the end of the season because he can't stay healthy. Looney might be able to help some team. Same with Wiggins.
The bottom line is this group will not see an NBA final again. It's sad but true.

Maybe if meyers could hit on a few draft picks from 2016 through 2022, he'd still be around because the team would be contending. He probably did see the decline coming, but kinda helped contribute to it as well. Left before the blame could fall on him too.
Tough spot to be in. Obviously want to build around Steph still who can likely still win a few rings if surrounded by the right talent. You can't play all the young guys because they are still learning and defensively not there yet. Can't play the old guys too much, well because they have sucked this year giving up leads.
They obviously want to keep the core intact, and I presume that is what Curry is saying too. I'd expect some trades but hope we can keep Podz, TDJ, and one of Kuminga/Moody. I'd included some 1st picks in the next two drafts. Be aggressive in FA if we have the cap space this year. Hope for the play-in this year and hope for Curry magic. There will be some names available.

Possible for Wiggins. But teams may want to get off of a contract or a player who won't be there in a year or two. You won't necessarily get a scrub for an expiring.

For the life of me I can't understand what's going on with him. This should be the prime of his career.

I would trade Steph, but only with his blessing. He could totally be an add that would turn a top team into a champ.

I wouldn't trade Steph and I don't think he wants to go. Lacob might need to dig deep and get back into luxury tax again to win another one before Steph is gone. We have no picks and outside of Kuminga who will get a bag soon, we have nobody but old guys to build around. Need to dump cp and Wiggs at minimum. I don't think Steph wants them to trade Klay or Draymond but they can probably convince him if we can grab a couple stars to keep competing with

I got off work yesterday and we were already down 20. Never even turned the game on.
Its time to clean house. I know this would probably never happen, but I would love to see the only players retained be Curry, Podz, Moody, Kuminga and Jackson-Davis. We need an injection of athleticism.
