Cool story but I think the huge ovation was for Indiana's boy TJD

I am not saying Dick is correct, but I am saying you are not. When TJD checked in and Curry did not check out.

That might be the first time you were right and I was wrong in all these years. But the crowd did go crazy when their home boy came in

Santos and Quinones were huge tonight and have really impressed lately. Both are not afraid to take big shots and are aggressive on both sides of the ball. I dont know how much either will play when Klay, Paul, and Payton are available but they are both showing they belong.

How did I miss TJD getting in Kerr's doghouse...he barely plays anymore. Under 8 minutes per game for the last 5. He always contributes. Someone will say "rotations blah blah," but he is a big part of the future, so find him some time. Has Santos moved ahead of him? I know he is an old rookie, but he is a promising young pro...

I have never been one to complain about Kerr and I still dont necessarily have a complaint about TJD. But its very clear to me that TJD is a mature player for his age and not someone that needs a ton of developing. I dont see the harm in playing him more. He isnt going to hurt us if we give him more minutes. A more raw player would.

Fans went nuts for Kuminga to get more playing time, but prior to this season he was still super raw and VERY immature. This year we have seen a ton of development and he is playing a much more mature game. Yet, I dont see really anyone giving Kerr and his crew credit for bringing out this version of Kuminga. In fact, I see the opposite where people assume that he would have developed faster had Kerr played him. What I see is that he has come into his own and I personally believe Kerr and crew deserve a TON of credit for how he was handled. Handing him 30 minutes a game when he was an immature player might not have gotten him to this point.

No. Kuminga's agent had to go to the media to force Kerr's hand for more minutes. This got dangerously close to a trade request which should have never happened.

A young player who wasnt playing a lot wanted more playing time. Such an unprecedented situation!

Simple fact of the matter is, Kuminga has developed into one of the best young players in the game. Trying to claim anything about what should or could have happened if Kerr did something differently is nothing more than other than an unprovable hypothetical. We should all be thrilled Kuminga is playing how he is now, and the coaches deserve a lot of credit.

I dont think TJD is in Kerr's doghouse at all. It is clear that Kerr has decided that this team is going to play small moving forward with Draymond at C and then a bunch of guys who can either slash or shoot. Quinones and Santos can do those things and will get the playing time until Paul and Payton are back. Look at Looney's minutes. He is hardly playing either.

Kuminga is benefitting from not having Looney and TJD clogging up the middle and allowing an open lane to the basket. Wiggins too for that matter. There are so few great big men now that the Warriors can be successful with Draymond in the middle and playing a lot faster. TJD will get his time but its just not now.

Going to the media to complain about your coach is unprecedented though. After being benched in the Denver game I did think he might ask for a trade. He played really well in that game too. That's why the benching didn't make sense.

I was wondering about TJD too but I think Kerr is just getting some playing time for Santos. He has a lot of younger guys that they need to see in order to make decisions on the future. Meanwhile the team is playing really well right now. They just had a really tough 5 game road trip in a span of 7 days that included two back to back games. The one loss was that double overtime loss.
Don't think TJD is in the dog house.

Green/Looney/Saric at center

Green/Saric/Wiggins/Kuminga/Santos at PF spot

just a numbers game, I do like when TJD stays ready tho. I think he will be huge down the stretch. Wish we play him more to conserve draymond
