Just trade Steph at this point
why waste the remaining years of his career if you aren't going to try to field a competitive team
Steph deserves another run
Dubs not doing everything they can to maximize Steph years is abysmal

Getting out of that contract was such a huge move. No way they get out of that hell of a contract this summer without sacrificing some 1st rd picks or young talent.

PG13 finally opted out due to his deadline. He waited till the end because the warriors weren't willing to meet the asking price via trade. Multiple NBA insiders said that's where our focus was.
Clearly the FO hasn't been interested in maximizing Steph curry years, dating back to the wiseman pick. Despite winning in 2022 and showing that with the right pieces Steph can still win, went with a youth movement.
They should go hard after Lauri, even if it means parting with a few 1sts.

Agreed. I seriously doubt he wants to uproot his growing family to ring chase.

Dunleavy waited on PG and now we aren't gonna have him or Klay. This offseason is shaping up to be a disaster and next season is going to be a mess unless they pull a miracle. Klay started out cold but was pretty good later in the year and still finished with good numbers. Dude was focusing too much on the uncertainty we are seeing now. Letting Klay walk is a mistake and we will not do better with any of the folks available who are realistic targets

If we end up with Maxi Kleber or DLo lmaoooooo
The Warriors will not re-sign Klay Thompson, per @wojespn.

Thompson is officially moving on from Golden State as both sides work to make a sign-and-trade happen. pic.twitter.com/4BLAH0PHmY

Hopefully he comes to his senses and signs a reasonable 2 year deal but if not so be it.

PG would have made the Warriors better assuming they didnt have to overpay to get him. It probably was a longshot but worth the wait to see what he would do. Reality is the Warriors are past their title years and simply keeping Klay on the team and not going after a much better player like PG wont change anything.

Klay will get a statue in SF...unless he ruins his legacy on the way out the door.

Klay is such a cry baby and has been miserable the last couple years. Appreciate all the great things he's done but if he's really b***hing and moaning about the warriors offer and settles for the MLE then let his ass go. I'm not mad about him leaving, he was on a rapid decline and his stretch of 3 good games followed by shot hunting, bad shooting, b***hing and pouting isn't worth it

Better than having Poole's albatross contract.

The Chris Paul for Jordan Poole trade now essentially become a salary dump deal of Poole's contract. Paul walking off Warriors' books for nothing. It's become a salary reset moment for the franchise. GSW is a full non-taxpayer mid-level team. https://t.co/sQcoVDP3za

ooof salary reset while you still have a generational player
