So Dunleavy used both 2nd rd picks he got for Klay to go get Anderson and Hield and also used the Mid level exemption the Dubs were able to use by getting under the tax level to get Melton. I actually think the team is better with these additions than they were with Klay and Paul but they still need to make one big trade to be serious contenders.

And even with Saric missing too...Agreed!!

Hopefully, Green/Wiggins (if kept) don't F off again by missing so much time, Warriors would've made the playoffs without that nonsense

I actually like that Lindy Waters signing too. I don't expect Post to put out like TJD/Podz did in their rookie year but that would be extra nice

Wouldn't be surprised if he ends up being better than Wiseman

That's not saying much.

I think that is simply because of the contract. Kuminga is going to get a lot of money very soon. No way Pod has more upside than JK though.
100% agree it would be due to the contract.

Podz still has 3 more years of financial control left, very attractive to a rebuilding team.
I think Podz is also more likely to have a long career. JK cant create his own shot and he isnt an incredible shooter either. hes almost four years into the league and people are still talking about potential. Podz was a rookie and he had the best plus/minus, shot pretty well at volume (think he was 3rd in 3s behind steph and Klay on the team), lead in charges and looks like he belongs. Outside of a month of solid performances JK has looked just as twitchy and out of control as he always has and the warriors will overpay for him based on potential. Id rather just trade him to someone who also believes in that potential and continue to develop our future PG and enjoy the savings for a few more years. Podz to me has picked up a lot in his game from Steph, CP3 and Draymond and will be a stud for years. I like Kuminga but paying this dude the 150mil he will probably want for potential is a huge risk

You lost me there. Kuminga can create his own shot.

Meh, if it's around the paint for a dunk he's creative I guess but he definitely needs help
Utah is asking for Kuminga, Podz, Moody, and multiple first round picks per shams in a recent NY times piece. Crazy asking price. Our counter is Moody, and a bunch of picks (maybe another player to match salary). There is a deadline in August for the Jazz to either sign markkanan or not, if they do, trade chatter ends until trade deadline in 2025.

LOL at Ainge's asking price if that is even true. There is zero chance the Dubs would give up that haul.

Focus is on Podz
I am taking this deal. I think Moody would be just fine as a starting 2.

Steph
Moody
Kuminga
Draymond
Lauri

Thats a really good starting 5. Where does wiggins fit?

I still think we need a traditional big.

a big man rotation of Looney, TJD and someone else would help preserve draymond/lauri down the stretch. I would try to include walker Kessler into a deal if we are giving all those picks

Thats kind of the point. They don't want to lose Lauri but if they do they're gonna make sure someone gives them the world in return.
