Yeah I love football in general but its hard to be passionate about this team again. Same coach and players who play well in the regular season, sneak by in the regular season, then have heartbreaking losses in the post season and super bowl.

Now we're looking like the old injured team who blew their shot, twice.

by my calculation we should have had atleast four rings just with Harbaugh and Shanny. assuming we dropped a couple we should still be looking down on everyone but we cant get over the top even when we have the top offense and defense for whatever reason

The biggest blunder was passing on Mahomes when we needed a qb badly and getting Solowoman Thomas at #2. Even bigger f**kup than trading the farm for Lance.

If we didn't luck into Purdy, Shanny would be on the hot seat or possibly fired by now.

I think Shanny wouldve been gone without Purdy saving him. We would be playing the season with Lance and looking like s**t week after week

That's a problem I often have with these forums. People stray off topcand it's often hard to know what they're referring to with the comments. Sometimes you hace to scroll back 2 or 3 pages to find the original comment.

Buddy Hield Revenge game last night

starters IMO:

steph
melton
JK
Dray
TDS/Looney

Bench:
Podz
Hield/GP2
Moses/Waters
Wiggs
Looney/SloMo/TDS

Wiggs is out sick, but if he recovers and has a bit of camp, he'll likely start and we'll go a smaller lineup to start the games with Dray at center.

My sense is that GP2 and Kyle will get some good chunk of minutes with the starters (especially if GP2 regains that 2022 form).

There 13 players above, assuming Gui isn't on a two way, we'll be at 14 with one spot open and several two way contracts available

Sounds like they're going to be chucking threes left and right. They've got guys who can shoot it. Some games may be feast or famine...hoping for the best this year.

I think having opponents respect the three against us is going to space the floor better for guys like JK/Wiggs/Steph to get to the bucket easier and allow dray/kyle to operate better

This is exactly what I'm hoping.

Really looking forward to seeing Buddy Hield shoot the three and contributing - looked good last night.

was Melton always a good shooter? Buddy should have easy shots with us, no other team hes been on had a steph curry level shooter to take the entire defense off of him. we could have a scary good sleeper team if we dont get manhandled defensively by the bigger teams. almost everyone we picked up this offseason is known for their defense so we should have improvement everywhere.

Hence melton starting for defense. He is a career 36.9% 3pt shooter, which he was bad his first two years (around 28-30%) but has since shot at or better than 36% these last four years.

if we see hield on the floor with Steph, expect a heavy defensive lineup of Wiggs/Moody, Dray, Kyle/TDS.

i think if we get 2022 GP2 and Wiggs back, we can surprise a lot of people this year. The expectations rn are a lottery team, not just because of what we have, but the west has improved too

Thats one of the things I like about this forum. Niner fans with the same interests end up in different subs and threads and have mini communities. I'm more comfortable posting in here with fellow dubs fans i interact with more frequently than the random dudes in niner talk.

After the az game some dude posted he wanted shanny dead… yikes. Those types stay out of these sub threads for the most part. Thankfully.

Foreal bro lol. This is definitely my favorite thread on the whole zone. I don't even go into that forum a lot of time because the homerism and crazy doom and gloom is too much lol. The dubs make me happier than the niners lately anyway
