They Klay situation is odd to me as a part time follower

GS offered him a contract extension (2/48) worth more than he earned on the open market (3/50)

There was no disrespect from the team...he just didn't want to accept his diminishing role and skills as he ages out

There should be nothing but positive all around when his career ends and he has time to reflect

He felt disrespected because (from my understanding)

1) Other players got max offers (Poole, Draymond) and he didn't

2) he still thought his skill sets/role should be 1B and clearly the staff/FO wasn't on board with that

I don't think the team intentionally tried to disrespect him, but he clearly was upset at a lot of things, team just got the brunt of it

Didn't he turn down a warriors offer a year before last to then sign with Dallas for less ?
I think the dubs had a standing offer before last season started and klay wanted max

tried to earn it on the court, didn't, but dubs still gave a good offee

I was getting pissed too. I really don't like the Grizzlies. The stink of Dillon Brooks still lingers.

I just checked the standings and it's really amazing. Only 3 teams in the Eastern conference with a winning record compared to 11 in the Western conference. Every team in the Warriors division is .500 or better.

If they played in the west, the Cavs would be another decent team, but not undefeated or talked up the way they are now
