What would you like them to do? Let's hear your trade proposal if you were gm. And don't say one that has the Dubs getting a star and giving up scrubs

They had a chance at a Lavine/CP3 swap last year, didn't pull the trigger.

They are reluctant to include Kuminga in deals, even for a guy like Cam Johnson, who would be a better fit with Steph.

seems like you could get Vucivic for Looney/ GP2 / Moody all of whom don't really play.

there are contracts and expiring the FO can move. There isn't a trade that's gonna make us the 2014 - 2019 Dubs, but to watch this and say well let's try's again in the offseason is disgusting.

Gonna be a bad look if Curry asks to be traded when the FO does nothing again, that recent article had some interesting words from Steph.
LaVine was injured and had foot surgery right before the deadline. When you add that to the fact that he makes over 43 million this year it's easy to understand why the Dubs or any team didn't trade for him.

Id be reluctant to trade Kuminga too. He is literally the only guy on the team that can get to the rim and finish. There isnt a team in the league who wouldn't love JK and I wouldn't trade him for Cam either. Why trade a 22 year old with his huge upside unless you get a boatload back?

As for Vucivic, you have no clue on whether they could get him for that. If so, I think its a no brainer. Give them Hield too. But until I hear that's a real offer I won't believe it.

I disagree on Lacob and Dunleavy not caring. They went out and signed 3 guys after Klay left and just traded for DS in a deal we all thought was a steal.

I just don't think they are any good. But I also don't see any magical trade that somehow makes them a real contender. Makes more sense to blow it up to be honest.

You can't ask me for potential deals and then say I'm clueless lmao, I'm working the trade machine like every other fan and not looking at a mega deal.

The 2022 Finals caught Lacob/Meyers/FO off guard. They seemed content to move on to Wiseman/ Kuminga/ Moody and have been noted to say it was a surprise that they won. It forced them to pivot to try to remain competitive, but doing it half-assed. Iggy discussed this in his podcast a bit with Steph.

Either blow it up completely and let the kids play or maximize Steph. I get the Kuminga has upside, but championship upside? He might just turn out to be another scorer but not a winner, will he be a kawhi or Tobias Harris. By the time we figure that out, Steph is retired/gone.

And unless Kuminga wins a finals, that'll be what he is remembered for by a large part of the fan base, who didn't have much of anything until Curry came along.

It makes more sense to blow it up because there is no trade they can make that will make them a real contender. But Lacob will never do that.

In reality, they have very few players that are desirable trade chips. Who really wants Moody, Waters, Payton, Looney, Anderson, or Hield enough to give a star back. Hard to see that happening. Maybe they will deal JK because he is by far the player that most teams would want other than Steph.

You're gonna have to package some of these players with future protected 1st rounders.

imo it makes more sense to tank and acquire picks like OKC or even San Antonio, but you can't do that either even with Kuminga around (ie less lottery odds). Thus max the Steph years, tank/rebuild after.
Just like last year, every week that passes includes a "worst loss of the season."
Most of us felt the team was done a few years ago and they managed to squeeze out one more title. It was a nice run but they're definitely in a rebuiding mode. At least in a search for answers mode. Great teams often need to go into the tank before they can rebuild. They need to get a couple good draft picks and then surround them with a couple free agents. Curry isn't as good as he was and can't carry the team night after night. Even at his peak he was able to share the scoring load with Klay. Now he has no other reliable scoring partner.

The only thing that keeps it from being the worst loss is that they were missing JK, Pod, and GP2. But even with that their play was abysmal. Curry has to be held responsible for some really stupid play. Just when the Dubs got close, in a matter of less than 2 minutes, he let his man have 2 wide open 3s (one of which he actually fouled the guy) and took 2 shots from about 40 feet out. Really, everyone who played last night was terrible.
