Really smart defensive strategy for the Rockets. Just focus on Steph, frustrate him so he takes bad shots, and let everyone else shoot 3s. If Buddy hadn't had a good game for him this would have been a blow out.

Have to run the table now I'm afraid

Not even sure if it's worth all the effort to fun the table. These dudes seem tired, and we have core guys all over 35 that need rest so they don't break down.

I didn't get a chance to watch the game live, had an early morning appointment here.
Seemingly, Houston's plan to control Curry paid off. Only scored 3-points , who'd they have guarding Steph?

The entire team. They were bnging nd grabbing everywhere to keep him from getting open. He didn't even take many shots. Never got to the foul line. He took 10 shots and only two weren't 3 point attempts. He wasn't able to get any of the usual drives to the basket that we see from him.

Thanx for the update.
The 1st BOLD is typical, just can't recall it to the level you described.
The 2nd BOLD is tiresome. Seemingly the Refs aren't going to give Steph the calls he deserves.
In so many ways, the man is one of the faces of the league … and yet, they treat him as if he were a scrub.

had amen Thompson and Dillion brooks hugging Steph full court. Then doubling when Steph had any screeners. Very much like a blitz the kings used to do

While Rockets had a solid game plan (and there length bothers us, always some 6'11 dude on the floor) , I dont think Kerr really adjusted much. Given we might run into the rockets in the post-season, wondering if Kerr didn't want to tip his hand on to counters. We schemed some plays for others, that the rockets didn't really expect (i.e. buddy screen for an open three in corner). Clearly Udoka remembers from the Finals that Steph is the key.

Post-game the team seemed pretty relaxed and chill.

to be fair every game against the rockets this season has been a slugfest through the mud it seems.

then dray just get amped up and that random flagrant 1 call probably was the nail in the coffin yesterday.

If at the beginning of this, somebody said hey you guys will plays seeds 2-5 and after four games be 3-1, we all would have said YES. IMO expected this type of performance against the nuggets.

Yes it is. Avoiding the play in gives us a week of rest. That would be huge.

The lagrant foul on Green when he went in for layup was a terrible call. It shuld have been a foul on Houston or no call at all. No way was that na flagrant foul. If that was LeBron they would have never made that call but because of Dray's reputation he gets calle dfor plays even when there's minimal contact.

Super annoying. But in fairness, scoring 3 points isn't just a "bad game."
