Yup, a lot of hype for him, but he isn't a top 5 player ever. Maybe if he stayed healthy.
Maybe a top 20 forward out of the recent top 75.
Well we are talking about hypothetical accomplishments that we have no idea if they would happen or not.
Fact is, as good as he is, he is 6x All NBA player who has never sniffed an MVP. That is not the resume of a top 5 player of all time.
MJ
Lebron
Kareem
Kobe
Bird
Wilt
Russell
Magic
Steph
Duncan
Shaq

I couldn't either given what's transpired. I'm just saying that if he'd stayed healthy, he might have more hardware to show for it and we'd be having a different conversation. It's a moot point because he's always getting injured at the worst possible time. And top 5 was clearly a reach.

I couldnt put him over a single player that has ever won MVP, other than Derrick Rose. So even if he racked up more All NBAs, more All Stars, etc. he would still be way out of the top ___ conversation for me.

Embiid
Westbrook (close but Kawhi better 2 way player)
Rose. (Obvious)

Westbrook annoys me to no end. I get no greater pleasure than from watching him flail in crunch time.

He's been competing in a one-man dunk contest the past week or so.

All things eventually come to an end!
Will The Dubs finally end their play-in woes?
Second half should be interesting …
