Ah got you... sorry about that. It's like the Garoppolo thread lol
Its basically just Mayo. No real fan who actually has watched the Dubs and appreciated what they have done over the past 5 years would ever suggest tanking. Its f**king stupid.
The Warriors may very well be in the lottery and finish out of the playoffs but it wont be because they are trying to lose. You dont tell Steph Curry, Draymond Green, and Klay Thompson that we are going to just throw the season away. Nor do you do that to fans paying a fortune to watch games at the Chase Center.
That's fair - I know not everyone is saying it. And I'm not here to troll or ruffle feathers. But if Steph wants to cement a legacy as an all timer (which I believe he is), he is going to have to carry a team thru a rough patch. This isn't even about WANTING to be a lottery team, this is about being a leader and willing a team to a playoff birth or respectability at the least. Kobe did it after Shaq left before Pau got there, Lebron dealt with some pretty god awful rosters in Cleveland and look what he did.
This isn't a champ team we know and may not realistically be a playoff team but throwing your hands up and saying oh well we lost some guys when you are supposed to be elite as Steph is, is unacceptable if I were a dubs fan. It's really early in season but just from what I've heard and read so far sounds like there are excuses built in.
I don't think he is the player of Stephs caliber, but Westbrook averaged a triple double MVP and was competitive with dogs**t around him. That's what I'm getting at. I look forward to seeing what Steph does this year my guess is he'll crush it we'll see.
