Steve, I dont disagree that the timing of the trade was influenced by getting under the tax both this year and next year. I dont think there is any doubt that it was. But, thats basically the only thing I agree with you on.

It doesnt take a rocket scientist to see that Dlo wasnt ever going to fit with the Dubs. He needs the ball in his hands and is best in a pick and roll offense. Sorry, but that isnt going to work with Klay and Steph or Kerr's offense. Yes he didnt get a chance to play with the Splash Brothers but I think most knowledgeable basketball people would agree that Russell was never going to flourish with the Dubs.

I am not a huge Wiggins fan but certainly wasnt a Dlo fan for this team either. I simply look at it as a deal where the Dubs improve their upside if ( and I agree its an if) Wiggins fits in with Klay and Steph while also getting an extremely valuable pick from Minnesota.

Also think Thompson is smoking crack if he thinks the Dubs could have gotten Wiggins and THREE #1 picks for Dlo. WTF!!

Things lined up well for the Warriors to get the deal done. If DLo gets hurt the W's would have been f**ked. I think there is some untapped potential in Wiggins and the picks just made sense. Not to mention the financial ramifications which were the main motivator in pushing to get the deal done at the deadline. Getting Wiggins some time in the offense and some playing time with Steph, Dray and maybe Klay is a bonus too. Head start into next year.

I dont think we are disagreeing though. You think DLo wasnt a great fit. I think that it is kind of an unknown, but also project that it wasnt a fit. I just think that we dont know for sure it wouldnt have worked, since we never got to see it. But if I was to guess, I wouldnt be of the opinion that I dont think it would have worked. I just think we could have gotten better than Wiggins.

Thompson said exactly what I have been saying all season. In the offeseason, we have to see what stars are disgruntled and unhappy with their team. Because THAT is how we would have gotten another star. If a star doesnt want to re-sign with his team, DLo plus a first round pick(s), would have been more than any other team would have been able to offer.

Laugh all you want Garce. The three of them never played together. So anyone claiming they know for certain it wouldnt work is talking out of their ass. No one can definitively do anything other than hypothesize. And that is a fact. But keep laughing.
So, Wiggins has set carrer highs in steals, and blocks....in THREE games, as a Warrior.........have hope

27 points for Wiggy.

Wiggins looks as good as we could have hoped, given what we know about his career so far. The big question is, how consistent will this level be? I think his play so far has earned him the benefit of the doubt.

Chriss seems to have had a breakthrough. It's almost like we got 2 new players in that trade.

There are nice moments from guys like Poole and Paschal which is encouraging.

But you still can't expect wins when we've got guys like Pargo Tuscano-Anderson getting minutes.

Overall the last three games have given me hope.

24, 18 and 27 points, not a bad start to begin his Warriors career.

The critical thing here is he's playing good defense.

If he does this consistently (which according to Wolves fans, is not his strong suit) he'd be a very good fit next to Curry/Klay.

Kings are so trash when it comes to drafting
With the way Chriss has been playing since getting rid of WCS, I am very comfortable with a starting lineup of:

Steph Curry
Klay Thompson
Andrew Wiggins
Draymond Green
Marquese Chriss

If Chriss can continue to show that this is who he is becoming, he would be fine as our starting center moving forward.

Well, I think they drafted Bagley and he was a fallout from that.

Not to mention not living up to his draft slot.

Them and Atlanta should be rolling in their graves for passing on Luka more so the Kings because at least Trae Young is legit
