So sad to hear. From sports fans and family types this is a bad day. Sorry for the family

Too late for me, I went to the memorial at staples center center today. I take off to Miami Friday, hope our Niners can bring some joy. Living in LA, it's hard to avoid here.

Im sure this will be the talk for most of the week.

By Wednesday it should all die down, then all the talk will concentrate on the Super Bowl.

Tuesday night Lakers play clippers which there will be a tribute to Kobe. I'm thinking Wednesday sports shows will be talking about the tribute.
NFL network is your option for straight super bowl talk.

What I am saying - if you don't want to hear about Kobe and want only Super bowl talk, then stay the F out of this thread. Not meant towards you btw.

Still hard to believe.
Don't know how to embed IG post but this is how Kobe got in to commuting using helicopters. He doesn't want to waste time in LA traffic and want to maximize his time with his kids and practice.

puts things into perspective. Making everyone think about their own mortality if the great Kobe can die.

anyone can get it.

Theres a sad irony there. He saved time not sitting in traffic to see his kids more, but it ultimately cost him the 2nd half of his entire life that he would've been with his kids.
This came as an utter shock to me. Not really a basketball guy, wasn't a Lakers fan, and indifferent about Kobe in his basketball time. But him as a person, as a man, as a father, and as a businessman I admired very much. My heart broke twice to learn that his daughter was on that helicopter with him. My heart goes out to his family. The world truly lost a good man.

I was talking with a friend about this very point. Kobe was the epitome of self-actualization, his goal was to maximize every minute of his life. Being able to fly in a helicopter to his kid's game is like peak of the mountain type of stuff. He was even generous enough to share that with others. And that very thing is what took all of their lives. Just terrible and tragic irony.

Which also makes all of the "RIP's" and "God's plan" sentiments so infuriating to me.
Can't find a 2XL Kobe shirt anywhere. And don't say Amazon, I have bad luck ordering from them.
