I think Belt gets more hate because of his body language. Its not like everyone hated JT Snow when he was putting up worse offensive numbers at 1B from 2001-2005.
Crawford is just Mr. Cool Guy who grew up a Giants fan, so he could hit .180 and the fans would give him a pass. Belt is awkward and pouts after called 3rd strikes, so people dismiss his contributions.
The fact remains that without Belt's 18th inning HR in Washington, there's a decent chance we dont win that WS, so no Giants fan should ever hate him.
