Did the Rangers not take precaution regarding the ramp up like the Giants supposedly did?

I don't know. The point was, almost every team in mlb has their starters going with their regular workload, only the giants have not done that and were going to bring guys along slow, partly a necessity (lack of talent) and the other reason being health.

And my point was, is this verified? I was literally just asking for clarification.

I just quickly went through all the boxscores from yesterday. and out of 9 games, only one starting pitcher went into the 80s as far as pitch count goes. So again, can you show me that every other mlb team has their starters going with their regular work load? About to look at 2 days agos box scores too.
Sunday's boxscores of 15 total games showed four pitchers exceeding 80 pitches (Bauer throwing in the 100s....yikes).

I can keep going here, but I am not seeing any evidence of "almost every team in MLB has their starters going with their regular workload." It is clear most teams are not extending pitchers yet.

But to your point, Garce, I think the lack of talent has a lot to do with how the Giants arms have been used so far. Health is obviously a part of it (and I have zero issues with our staff being run this way during this gimmicky season).

Gotcha. I actually am in favor of our pitchers not being extended, especially the younger ones who could be part of our future plans. I just think thats fairly common with what has been going on across the league so far.
