Avoiding luxury tax with a first/second round exit every year isn't the worst thing. Most teams won't even touch it.

Meh looking at it ass backwards.

Hell bent on putting a championship roster is more important than hell bent on avoiding tax.

No wonder Harden and Westbrook want out.

The problem is Houston has had numerous reported deadline deals that Morey had lined up that would have improved the team but would have had to go over the LT and Tilman nixed it.

Like he's tried to do? Paying the most overrated player in history of any sport 50 million was his biggest mistake. Harden only wants out because like others he needs a super team to carry him.

Was houston going to beat LaL?

No. Westbrook and Harden were never going to work. Dude may be garbage but at some point you have to be honest. He's paying what?, 80+ mill for two players who have accomplished nothing in the grand scheme of things. Why just throw more money away?

Are you just trolling? Harden has literally carried the Rockets since his very 1st game. It's harder and harder to win a ring without teaming up. Lebron couldn't do it alone. Steph needed Klay and Dray. KD needed the Warriors and then Kyrie. Dirk is the only guy who's won a championship recently without another prominent all star player by his side. That argument is pointless nowadays.

Chris Paul was an MVP candidate once he got away from Harden. That 2017/2018 team was stacked.
Westbrook has been an MVP.

And CP3 and Harden had the best record in the NBA and were a CP3 hammy away from beating the vaunted Golden State Warriors. And they would have mopped Cleveland.

Did you really have to ask if he's trolling?

Maybe, maybe not. There's hypotheticals for nearly every championship.

Why did the NBA approve it? Who is this dude? This guy sounds like the opposite of what NBA wants from owners. It would be sad to see Hou turn into another Magic or Hornets like franchise.

He's a "longtime Rockets fan" who is a restaurant and casino owner. He has like the Golden Nugget casino and I think landrys steakhouse chains if I'm not mistaken. He couldn't even afford the team himself. The old owner Leslie Alexander actually gave the dude a loan to buy the team which is insane. He knows nothing about basketball and he had his son Patrick who also knows nothing about basketball involved in basketball decisions.

Oh he also wrote a stupid book.
