So a few days in, what teams have actually made themselves better? I know this is all speculation, but who is going to actually be better and improve their chance at a title/standing/playoffs hopes?
I think my Lakers have greatly improved their 2nd unit and ability to score when Lebron goes to the bench. They lost some leadership and solid guard play in Rondo and Bradley, but I think they've put themselves in a position to have a run at back to back titles.
In the West - I think Suns, Blazers, Jazz and Lakers improved.
I still can't believe Lakers got Harrell. I would have prefered Ibaka but I'm guessing he is going to get more money than Lakers could have afforded.
Lakers upgraded Rondo to Schroader, Green to Wes (slight), and Dwight to Harrell (huge improvement in scoring but Harrell hasn't shown he wants to play defense). But, getting younger and faster was important. Lakers did that really well. Opens up more time for Caruso too and I think THT gets some time in reg. season as well to show what he's got.
Lakers do need to either retain KCP or get a shooter. Bogi is a LONG LONG LONG shot right now...so gotta find a way to retain KCP or S&T him for something that can land them a shooter.
